Reported Sighting of Unidentified Aerial Object Date and Time Observed: sixteen eighteen hours, October twenty‑six, nineteen fifty‑two. Location: United States Highway Seventy‑seven, approximately two miles south of Roanoke, Texas (eighteen miles north of Fort Worth, Texas). Observers: Two vehicle occupants, one male in the car. Description: The object appeared the size of a large dinner plate, bright silver light, initially sighted about thirty‑five degrees due east, two miles over open country. The object traveled south, remained in sight for three minutes, turned and climbed like a top, appeared to cover sixty degrees in approximately ninety seconds, then seemed to fade out of sight. Action taken: Telephone check was made with Post/Field Airfield, and records were checked from Carswell Flight Service, Fort Worth, Texas, with negative results.
