Others could have been, at some time, cooperating sources assisting the FBI or other US/Allied services. A number of identities have been withheld. Unless otherwise attributed, opinions expressed in this study are those of the authors. The Venona decrypts are the translations of the KGB and GRU communications. The third volume will deal with the GRU and GRU-Naval, and will close with a chapter on the later years of the Venona problem at NSA and GCHQ.
