Prisoners of war and casualties: In Korea, during the twenty‑hour period ending one hundred twelve hundred hours, the number of prisoners of war increased from one hundred sixty‑seven to one hundred seventy‑one; killed and wounded from sound and air action decreased from two hundred seventy‑four to one hundred ninety‑seven. Enemy Group, third Chinese Communist Forces (CCF) Field unit, resort in Korea: A recent prisoner of war reported that on twenty‑six May he heard from a CCF political officer that the seventh CCF Army Group had arrived in the Kumhwa area to replace the twentieth CCF Army. The presence in Korea of major units of this CCF Army Group is unconfirmed. Claims of organic units of this group have been captured primarily in the twentieth CCF sector. Accordingly, it is believed that thus far only a portion of the group are presently in Korea. Sixth General Offensive: A prisoner of war from the fifteenth CCF Army stated, hearsay, that about sixteen June the twenty‑ninth CCF Division would be relieved by the eighteenth CCF. At that time the CCF is expected to launch the sixth offensive. He added, hearsay, that while in Antung early March he learned that the sixteenth, seventeenth, and eighteenth CCF Armies were to follow the fifteenth CCF Army across the Yalu River.
