What did the declassified documents reveal?

Return to the record with a declassified United States Air Force cable on photographic reconnaissance over the People’s Republic of China, designated CX six three seven eight nine, dated July eighteenth, nineteen fifty‑three. The document is notable because it captures a high‑level request for guidance on urgently needed photo‑reconnaissance that had been placed on hold pending resolution of a prior message. The cable was made publicly available through The Black Vault’s digital archive on archive dot org. The file was uploaded as part of a broader release of historical intelligence records, and the declassification authority is noted as the United States Air Force, which has since released the material into the public domain. The entry lists the source as a scanned copy of the original top‑secret cable, and the release date on the archive is recorded as the date of upload. The document itself reads as follows: “Return to Mr. ‘Poul % ecim Office Chairmen JCS 4 ae ; } hs .
