The mission did, however, discover additional indications of large troop concentrations in the Foochow area. A. Airfields. With the exception of Liehcheng, all of the airfields were previously covered by [redacted] mission One-Two-Seven and no significant changes were noted. The identification of twenty-six MIGs at Chienchao supports our estimate of two squadrons of MIGs based at this field. The number of planes noted at the other airfields is in line with previous [redacted] information on the deployment of jet fighters in the area. [See attached.] B. If these are single-story buildings of the same [redacted] of other barracks noted in other areas, the [redacted] could house about twenty-eight thousand three hundred and thirty-five troops. C. Naval Activity: No unusual naval activity was noted at any of the ports covered. The count of two hundred and thirty junks and small craft at Chuanzhou north of Foochow and four hundred and twenty-five at Santuao is less than numbers previously noted.
