C-I-A slash P-I-D has, at the request of D-D-S and T, conducted a thorough study of selected areas of China including Hainan Island in order to assess the status of S-A-two deployment. Thus far, C-I-A slash P-I-D has not discovered any S-A-M-s on Hainan Island. B. The interdepartmental unit at N-P-I-C, P-A-G, has not to date indicated any area on Hainan Island as suspect for a S-A-M site. C. At this time, although there has been substantial coverage of the Island by usable photography up to November nineteen-sixty-four, the entire area has not been covered recently enough by cloud-free photography to permit a positive statement that there is not a S-A-M site on Hainan Island.
