Photographic coverage of South China coastal logistic routes, installations, and other coastal ports and shipping can provide high‑priority information required to evaluate PRC logistic support. Coverage of PRC naval facilities will improve our capability to assess possible PRC naval support to North Vietnam. Our present area of particular interest is east of the Luichow Peninsula, where five PRC minesweepers have been conducting exercises. It is believed that aerial photographic coverage can provide valuable and timely intelligence concerning PRC logistic and naval activity. Enclosure 2 is a listing of important coastal objectives. It is requested that these requirements be forwarded to the CIA collection office for collection as practicable with appropriate assets. The Luichow Peninsula and the Shandong Inland area are of highest priority.
