OK, so I’ve been freaking out. I see the price of diesel go uup, and up, and up. I tell myself “calm down” and I take some breaths and I relax and “hey, things alwyas take longer than I expect”. And then within a few hours the price of diesel goes up again.
It has gone up an additional 10 cents per gallon since I recorded this 24 hours ago.
$6.50/gallon right now.
I have two reactions to “freak out”: the first is I eat more - especially chocolate. Ha, ha, I am not getting on a scale to see how much I’ve gained.
My second response is to go shopping.
When the going gets tough…. the tough go shopping.
I am quite certain the “free shipping” thing will not exist much longer so I am taking advantage of it while it lasts.
Since I am already mostly good on food, livestock, basic infrastructure, what am I buying?
I needed some parts for the rainwater collection system. A 12v dc pump. So I picked up 3 of them. The ShurFlow ones on Amazon look good. When a company shows you detailed technical diagrams and has replacement parts for their pumps - that is an excellent sign.
Uh oh, 6 ducks disappeared the other night. I really could use some game cameras. Actually game cameras are really an excellent tool in general. Sigh, I got overwhelmed with all the choices and I’m not sure which one to get.
That is a first world problem, isn’t it? Since we are about to be a second or third world country I am sure my priorities will change.
Some more cavies got loose, but since they don’t go far and are pretty easy to catch, yet so small I doubt the dogs or whatever got the ducks will get them. I’m leaving them out for now. A few less animals to care for at the moment as they are now self feeding and watering.
The cavy cage rebuilding project has started and this first one is a frankenstein for sure. As with all projects I am learning and figuring out as I go and they will get better.
OK, so have you seen the latest AI psy-op? The Doom AI cycle where they are trotting out the fear porn about AI is getting so smart and will kill us all. Sam Altman says with market competition he has to build out AI to keep ahead and what is really needed is ….. Government control. Licensing!
That the public is now terrified of AI getting loose has been “proven” by a single X Post with a 123 million views. Except that the X account was essentially unused prior to that posting and there are a ton of details that point to that post being fabricated and artificially pumped.

There are reports of Costco limiting purchases of motor oil So there is something to stock up on or buy as a trade item. Also lots of reports about gas stations “out of diesel” especially in North Texas which I find strange as TX does a ton of refining…
There is a truckers strike organized for October 1 so get ready for that. With these high diesel prices they can’t work anyway, so striking and making noise about it makes sense to me.
A huge problem is farmers are also quitting. All their harvesting equipment runs on diesel.
Prepare for shortages and price increases!
You have “2 WEEKS!” Lol, That is our inside joke, yes? Well I saw a very well done YouTube with that title “You have 2 weeks to prepare” by Sentinel Economics. It was very well done. Not at all fear porn. Just a man with matter of fact facts on the diesel inventory and usage patterns.
Bottom line? It is bad. And this time we really maAt y only have 2 weeks.
You know this is going to kick off hyper inflation don’t you?
$10/gallon diesel and you have massive layoffs and bankruptcies. The hospitality industry will face-plant as no one has any discretionary spending for hotels, travel, meals out.
During the COVID experience, 60% of small businesses shut down. An ‘energy lockdown’ will be eerily similar, but much worse.
And at the rate we are going $10/gallon is not that far off.
I really do have to stop obsessing over the price of diesel.
I strongly recommend you quit thinking “going back to normal” That ain’t ever going to happen. Even if the Saudi’s can rebuild the pipeline in a months time - what’s to stop the Houti’s from bombing it again? And of course, the reality is the Globalists are shutting down fossil fuels. The Houti’s were given directions.
It is real. We are careening from slow grind, to faster grind, to sudden collapse.
Oh! and just to spice things u a bit. On Nov. 17th is a test of the Emergency Alert System. I have lived through a few of these and most of them have been ‘meh’ except of course 911 was an emergency drill event. While the supposedly ‘real’ event happened.
Oh well, something to note.
You know how it is always BIGGER in Texas? Well Texas is living up to it’s exaggerated self. There is a 5 square mile data center supposedly going in to the Texas pan handle. It will take 17 GigaWatts of power which is twice the current power usage of the entire State. Yup, biggest data center in the world.
And apparently the company building it has zero experience. Well who has experience building data centers anyway?
I highly recommend the article written by parallel Mike on why the data center build out is so massive. The bankers set this all up intentionally - including the crash - to be able to pick up all the assets for pennies on the dollar. Mike goes into historical examples of the railroad build outs in the UK and the US. Wash, rinse, repeat. They have been doing this a long time.
I review the GENIUS act review and how Tether - the most corrupt of them all - is buying up gold, land, oil…
There are already tokenized stocks which I am guessing that is how they will entice you to buy the new stable coins.
