29 October 2026 ~ 3 Good Things
This is a reminder that you don’t have to be in a good mood to Notice, Name + Share good things. You don’t have to feel happy, or relaxed - or even grateful to Notice, Name + Share good things.

This is a reminder that you don’t have to be in a good mood to Notice, Name + Share good things. You don’t have to feel happy, or relaxed - or even grateful to Notice, Name + Share good things.
In fact, you don’t have to be - or feel - anything at all to Notice, Name + Share good things.
That’s the beauty of the Tell Me 3 Good Things practice, it’s available anytime, anywhere, any day - no matter how you’re feeling, or what you’re doing.
All you have to do is pause for a moment and take *Notice of what’s good. It could be what’s good in your body, in your heart, in your environment. It could be what’s good in your memory. It could be something you’re looking forward to. It could be something huge (a wedding) or something tiny (a penny you found on the ground). It could be something new in that moment, or something good you’ve noticed 100 times.
And once you’ve noticed something good, all you have to do is Name that thing - say it out loud, take a picture, or write it down - to give it some staying power, some substance outside of your own awareness.
And then you **Share. Tell a friend, or text someone, or turn to the person next to you in line and tell them. Or leave a comment here, or hit reply and send me an email.
That’s it: Notice, Name + Share. It’s that simple.
You don’t have to be anything, or feel anything, to do it.
The practice is here for you.
We are here for you.
We are here for each other, friends.
Thursday:
The Milwaukee Brewers! This team played their hearts out, and it felt like the best of baseball. There’s nothing like October.
Dave and I voted this morning, at a beautiful new recreation center not far from our home. The process was quick and easy, and it was a treat to go together.
A long walk with a dear friend in a beautiful park this afternoon.
Now you? Tell me 3 good things?
Xo.
*It occurs to me that maybe I ought to write a whole post about noticing.
**And another whole post about why.
