7 things he does right before he disappears
You fully feel that shit before he even says the words… Maybe it was the way he said goodnight…. Maybe it was how long the gap got between communications surrounding anything real and foundational.

You fully feel that shit before he even says the words…
Maybe it was the way he said goodnight…. Maybe it was how long the gap got between communications surrounding anything real and foundational. You told yourself you were overthinking… You told your friends he was just stressed… You reread old messages after midnight when you can’t sleep… looking for the version of him that used to respond in a timely manner… the version of him who was always reaching toward you….
He didn’t leave all at once… that’s not how it happens; men rarely do… they leave in pieces, then leave you in pieces… quietly, while still showing up just enough to keep you from asking the questions out loud.
This is the anatomy of that leaving… the seven signs, in the order they usually arrive… so… read them slowly… keep this for all times…
I think the best way to be in a relationship that works is to refuse to give extra time to a relationship that isn’t meant to last. The overthinking.. the overstaying is how so many women end up where they don’t want to be because they’ve ended up staying longer in a relationship with someone who has already chosen to leave without a concrete notice, and so… instead of leaving it up to him… this list helps you decide what to do next…
The wild part is… this shit will jump off the screen as you read it…because you’ve definitely experienced that shit in the past… and you may be going through it as we speak, and so… maybe this will be your sign to move on…
This is the first sign and the easiest to miss, because nothing is technically wrong. he still answers. He still says goodnight. he still sends the heart.
But the paragraphs became sentences. The sentences became words. the words became “lol” and “fr” and a thumbs up on something you spent ten minutes writing.
he used to ask follow-up questions. now he answers what you asked and leaves the conversation sitting there for you to carry.
The warmth leaves before the man does.
politeness is what a man offers when he’s no longer offering himself.
and here’s the tell most women miss: you start doing double the talking just to keep the conversation the same size. When you’re working twice as hard to feel half as close, he’s already halfway out the door.
a man who’s interested always gives you more than the question asked for.
In the beginning, he made plans before you had time to wonder. Friday was his idea. The restaurant was his idea. He texted on Monday about Saturday.
now it’s “let’s play it by ear.” “I’ll let you know.” “Depends on how the week goes.”
He hasn’t said no. he’s just stopped saying yes.
That’s not an accident. a man who’s leaving keeps the future vague so he never has to admit he’s closing it. Vague lets him keep access to you without the responsibility of choosing you.
A man who wants you builds a calendar. a man who’s leaving keeps everything open.
“We’ll see” is a no that doesn’t want to be held accountable.
notice who brings up the weekend now. If it’s always you, you’re not making plans together. You’re making requests.
And when the plans do happen, watch him. On his phone. checking the time. Ready to leave early. Present in body, already gone in decision.
The next five are where it gets uncomfortable. Number four is the one most women blame themselves for. Number seven is the one that keeps you holding on for months after he’s already gone.
