This EO pledges to do two things:
Establish a new Women’s Health Division within the National Institutes of Health (NIH) to strengthen scientific research, accelerate medical breakthroughs, and improve health outcomes for American women and girls. (From the press release; not linking to them.)
Establishes the first White House Women’s Health Task Force, co-chaired by Secretary Kennedy and White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles, to coordinate federal efforts to improve women’s health from infancy and adolescence through the reproductive years, midlife, menopause, and healthy aging. I read the Executive Order yesterday. Because you know me; I’m always looking for coded White Christian Nationalist language or hidden WCN meaning.
And I didn’t find any WCN language in the EO. (The press release mentions Moms.gov, the surveil-every-uterus-that-can-carry-a-fetus system I predicted in this 2024 newsletter. The CDC Director holds a seat on this task force.)
In fact, this announcement and corresponding Executive Order are so overtly pro-women that I’m convinced Susie Wiles - co-chair of this effort with HHS Director RFK Jr - masterminded the whole thing. Not because she is pro-women. Because I’m guessing she is tired of cleaning up the messes of Heritage Foundation-and-other-White-Christian-Nationalist-aligned regime members.
If she was the mastermind, I want to give her credit. This thing is a virtuoso performance. Let’s read its exact words.
(a) The Secretary of Health and Human Services, acting through the Director of the National Institutes of Health (NIH), shall establish a Women’s Health Division within an appropriate institute or center within 90 days.
(b) The Women’s Health Division shall, in coordination with the NIH Office of Research on Women’s Health:
(i) increase the scientific review of women’s health conditions in all phases of life that remain understudied or insufficiently understood;
(ii) advance and coordinate research on women’s health conditions at all phases of life, including replication studies;
(iii) promote innovation and advanced research technologies to accelerate time to diagnosis and improve access to high-quality prevention, treatment, specialized healthcare services, personalized medicine, and coordinated care delivery for women’s health conditions;
(iv) strengthen interdisciplinary collaboration to advance basic and clinical research on women’s health;
(v) support data-collection methodologies and research methodologies that improve understanding of sex-specific health outcomes and increase inclusion of women and girls in clinical trials;
(vi) develop accountability for grant recipients to enhance adherence to the NIH policy requiring research to account for sex as a biological variable; and
(vii) facilitate translation of scientific discoveries into clinical practice and public health implementation across Federal, State, and local jurisdictions.
(c) The Women’s Health Division shall work with all relevant Federal partners to continue to expand strategic coordination and policy leadership on, career development in, and advancement of women’s health research across disciplines.
Other than having RFK Jr anywhere near it, sounds like a great list, doesn’t it?
In addition to Wiles, who is recovering from a recent breast cancer diagnosis and treatment, there are three other female agency heads who haven’t yet been fired by the regime. They will serve on the task force with at least nine male agency heads. I mean, a nine-to-four male-to-female ratio with this crowd is almost Diversity Equity and Inclusion. It’s almost like they think women should have input about women’s health.
And they devote an entire section to what they mean to do to improve women’s health. It includes line items like:
improve prevention, early detection, diagnosis, treatment, and long-term health outcomes for women and girls, including through acceleration of the development of new therapies and cures
prioritize grantmaking focused on prevention, treatment, and long-term health by promoting early identification and management of health risks throughout infancy, childhood, adolescence, reproductive years, midlife, menopause, and aging, to reduce the burden of chronic disease and improve long-term health outcomes
advancing patient-centered care by supporting education and research into coordinated, preventive, and woman-centered care
implement pilot programs that improve incentives to integrate prevention, early intervention, and treatment and remove obsolete silos between agencies, programs, or systems
consulting with States, tribal nations, local jurisdictions, community-based organizations, faith-based organizations, the private sector, philanthropic entities, and other relevant stakeholders on the best strategies to translate research into practice
Because the crowd that has implemented almost 60% of Project 2025, is following the Heritage Foundation’s Saving America by Saving the Family like it is a new book of the Bible, and just told the Attorney General to lie about enforcing the Comstock Act after the Midterms does not give one good bowel movement about women and girls.
But don’t take my word for it. I’ll spend the rest of the week combing through everything they’ve put in writing, every policy they’ve implemented, and every bit of MAHA trash they’ve endorsed to bring ALL the receipts.
