In today’s newsletter, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu delivers a blistering address to the UN General Assembly. Meanwhile, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian tells Fox News that Tehran doesn’t want a nuclear bomb and is willing to submit its nuclear program to international verification. President Trump asks the Supreme Court to clear the way for his Administration’s third-country deportation policy. Back home, New Jersey’s Democratic lieutenant governor resigns following an investigation into alleged misconduct, while other Democrats behave badly. We also look at Americans’ historically low trust in the news media and the strange case of a Philadelphia anti-Israel activist.

He has shown you O man, what is good: And what does the Lord require of you But to do justly. To love mercy. And walk humbly with your God? Micah 6:8
On Thursday, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu ** gave a powerful speech** to the UN General Assembly. Unfortunately, a large group of delegates didn’t hear it since they joined Iran in getting up and walking out. Netanyahu noted them, asking if there were any more moral cowards who would like to leave before he began.
Netanyahu called out New York City Mayor Zohran Mandani for presiding over a huge rise in anti-Semitism in New York and for hanging out with people who accuse Israel of genocide and say that America deserved 9/11. He called the claim of Israel causing a genocide in Gaza “the greatest lie of the century,” pointing out the extraordinary lengths to which Israel has gone to provide aid to the people there, including a ton of food per person, while trying to hunt down the perpetrators of the October 7th attacks. He said Israel didn’t cause a genocide, it prevented one because if they could, “Hamas would have killed every last one of us.”
Netanyahu also blasted Mamdani’s ridiculous efforts to arrest him, warning that he will never be silenced.
And those who joined the Iranian delegating in leaving and refusing to listen, missed this final warning from Netanyahu:
“I want you to listen to my words carefully: one day, and it may not be far away, the Iranian people will be free. Their murderous regime will be toppled by its lies, by its corruption, by its cruelty. This evil regime will fall, and we will all celebrate that day.”
Well, sadly, not all...
In an interview with Fox News’ Bret Baier, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian flatly denied that Tehran wants a nuclear bomb. He said the late Supreme Leader issued a religious decree that weapons of mass destruction are “unholy” and “illegal.” He also blamed Washington for the war and claimed that Iran is willing to submit its nuclear program for international inspection, ** blaming Washington for the nearly seven-month war in the Middle East** and accusing the US of blocking diplomacy, not Iran. And that’s today’s news from Bizarro World.
As the movie “Anchorman” proved, there are few professions where people harbor more unearned self-regard than the news media. According to Gallup, public approval of the news media sits at a record-low 28% (it was 72% in the 1970s.) It’s highest among older people, apparently because they remember the 1970s, and only 23% among 30-to-49-year-olds.
Yet despite the public revulsion for the lousy way in which so many of them do their jobs, these arrogant cue card readers hold themselves in the kind of self-regard normally reserved for Oscar winners. That arrogance was on full display Thursday, when a judge forced President Trump to reverse the ban on CNN, MS NOW and Politico and let their “reporters” back into the White House briefing room.
** Mary Rooke of the Daily Caller reports** that these “morally-superior hacks” theatrically returned to the White House on Friday after an exile that lasted all of six days. Meanwhile, their comrades gave them a hero’s welcome with an ostentatious display that included applause and taking selfies. Rooke chose the perfect adjective to describe it: “vomit-inducing.”
President Trump ** asked the Supreme Court** to allow him to resume deporting illegal aliens to “safe third countries,” an action blocked by lower court judges. This occurs when the US can’t deport someone back to his nation of origin because they refuse to take him.
Wow, an illegal alien who’s so bad that a country refuses to let him in! It’s a concept the Democrats have never heard of.
Democrats Behaving Badly: New Jersey Gov. Mikie Sherrill ** called on her hand-picked second in command**, Lt. Gov. Dale Caldwell, to resign after a law firm hired by her office issued a report accusing him of “serious, repeated violations of state policy” in his comments around women in his office. We won’t repeat the alleged comments here, but you can read some of them at the link. On Thursday a spokesman for Caldwell said he denied these anonymous allegations. On Friday he resigned.
Alaska Democrat Senate candidate Mary Petola was the target of an expose in the New York Times, of all places. The paper claimed that while serving in the House, she was known for angry outbursts, physical assaults and casting slurs on staffers, such as calling them “retarded” and “f****t.” ** Breitbart News has the details**.
Finally, Maine Democrat Senate candidate Troy Jackson was kicked off of a Facebook group for leaving offensive and aggressive comments. His comments were so obnoxious and condescending, some members couldn’t believe it was really Jackson. The page is for “Mainers for Troy Jackson,” a group dedicated to electing the guy they just kicked off of their Facebook page. His new campaign slogan: “Get Troy Jackson into the Senate and ** OFF our Facebook page**!”
In ** one of the best examples** of “Don’t believe everything you see on the Internet,” Hannah Gann, a Philadelphia woman who built a following online as a leftist, black, Palestinian anti-Israel activist, admitted that she was lying about her identity for years. She’s actually a wealthy, white Jewish woman who was using a fake accent and wearing dark makeup to look tan. She’s being compared to Rachel Dolezal, the white woman who posed as black and became head of the NAACP.
We don’t see what all the fuss is about. If the Democrats have taught us anything in recent years, it is that whatever you claim to identify as, that’s what you actually are. If a man in a dress can demand to be hired as a Hooters waitress, why can’t a white Jewish woman work as a black Palestinian activist? Maybe the only line they draw is that whatever you claim to be, you can’t wear blackface.
