But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and east to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.
Question For Every American Before You Vote! Courtesy of Vince Sheetz on X: Democrats say they’ll make everything great if we put them back in power, but they were fully in power not that long ago under Joe Biden...and not a single Democrat is running on his record or making any speeches to brag about it or remind us of it. Why do you think that is?…
While Democrats rail and seethe against Elon Musk and threaten to bankrupt and jail him, he’s racking up more positive achievements than anyone in recent history. The latest: His Neurolink company, which has already helped paralyzed people move and communicate, announced that it’s waiting on regulatory approval for a new product. ** It’s called Blindsight**, and they say it will enable even people who have been blind all their lives to see.
They may hate billionaires, but we think he’s doing more good with his money than the government would. Only Democrat politicians could hate a man for helping the blind to see. That apparently costs them voters.
When will the Democrats update their theme song from “Happy Days are Here Again” to the Thompson Twins’ “Lies”? Here’s the latest argument for that:
The Dallas Morning News ran an op-ed by a woman claiming to be a Republican but saying she’s voting for Democrat Gina Hinojosa for Governor. They’ve since added a note to the online version, alerting readers that they had discovered the writer was ** paid $57,000 in consulting fees by the Hinojosa campaign** and they would not have run it had they known that. So why is it still online?
California’s high speed rail project has become the poster child for government waste and incompetence. The average person marvels at how anyone can burn through billions of tax dollars and not lay a single mile of railroad track. Well, ** this might help answer that**…
A report by the High-Speed Rail Authority’s Inspector General found that over the past two years, consultants had billed the project for more than $1 million in travel reimbursements, out of which $680,500 didn’t comply with the state requirement for advance approval and “there was little to no upfront consideration of the need for or cost of the travel.”
Consequently, $592,000 worth of the travel expenses were found to be unallowable, including first class airfare and premium Uber rides for trips to gyms, tiki bars, escape rooms, cigar lounges and private homes for no business purpose. Republican Assembly Leader Alexandra Mecedo said, “Only in California could a project that is years late and billions over budget somehow find money for consultant rides to a cigar lounge.”
While we are mostly shocked to learn that anyone in California examined the out-of-control spending at all (we assumed Gavin Newsom would have made that illegal by now), we are glad to hear that the report led to the rail project’s CEO, Ian Choudri, announcing his resignation. That’s one escape room that’s worth paying for.
If it’s Tuesday, it must be time for ** yet another Democrat lawsuit filed** before a friendly partisan DC judge to stop a Trump construction project. This time, it’s the Triumphal Arch, which was just about to begin construction (this is a great illustration of why America can no longer build anything.)
Among the reasons why this must be stopped: The Arch will cast a shadow on JFK’s grave at Arlington National Cemetery… Only in the morning, before the cemetery is open, but still, it’s the principle of the thing!
An Abdul El-Sayed supporter at the University of Michigan ** was caught on video** violently assaulting a Jewish girl and threatening her life for asking an uncomfortable question about Iran. Warning: Lots of brain-dead profanity. Watch to the end for the police hog-tying her and the says-it-all moment when the victim tells her to go to a mental hospital and she screams back, “I’ve already been to a mental hospital, and I’ll go again!…” Maybe we should have run this under “Least Surprising News of the Day.”
Matt Vespa at Townhall.com ** has more on the story**.
And in an update: Naturally, she’s already been released from jail!
After 90 years, the University of San Francisco finally yielded to the woke brigades and ** axed its longtime mascot**, “The Don,” a costumed man with a Spanish hat and pencil-thin mustache. It was inspired by the first mayor of the city that grew into San Francisco. Some triggered students complained that it had too much in common with “the history of Spanish colonization suffered by California’s Indigenous people.”
The Don has been replaced with a new mascot, the Wolf. Don’t anyone tell the students what wolves did to Indigenous people if they got lost in the woods.
More Wokeness: ** Martha Stewart apologized** after suffering angry backlash over her Halloween costume of a homeless person, which she says was intended to bring attention to the problem of homelessness. She should’ve known that these days, no good deed goes unpunished. They probably also would’ve been offended if she’d dressed as a prison inmate.
Line of the Day! Virginia Gov. Abigail “Trust Me, I’m a Moderate Centrist!” Spanberger has made restoring voting rights to 66,000 felons a major priority. She claimed this would be a carefully-vetted process, but only if “vetted” refers to veterinarians.
One of the recipients of an official notice that she was free to register to vote and serve on juries was Biscuit Riley, a beagle-hound mix who somehow got on the list, despite being a dog and having died five years ago (which is also a qualification for Democrats registering you to vote.) The “** careful vetting**” also resulted in voting rights being restored to a Miss “Betty No Last Name.”
Biscuit’s owner was surprised to learn that his dead dog was now able to vote, but was more upset that she was put on a list of felons. He defended her by declaring: “Biscuit was a good girl!”
We bet she’d also be a better Governor than Abigail Spanberger.
