Last week, we wrote about the deep-dig expose by the invaluable X.com researcher DataRepublican on a plot to undermine the Trump Administration and the Constitution. It involves Democrat Governors, leftist activist groups, retired military and intelligence officials, and former USAID employees who are sore at being cut off from the government trough by DOGE. The scheme was to launch violent protests in the streets, a la those in France, forcing Trump to invoke the Insurrection Act to end them. That would give Democrats the excuse to declare the federal government illegitimate and have Democrat Governors take over and replace the US Constitution with the fever dreams of the DSA crowd.
It sounds like a “crazy, right-wing conspiracy theory,” except that DataRepublican uncovered thousands of emails, texts and documents to back it up. While the mainstream media is doing their usual work of trying to bury the story, thanks to the Internet, it’s spreading. And we assume that the Trump intelligence agencies are looking into it. A lot of Trump-hating playground revolutionaries may be getting unwanted knocks on the door any day now.
DataRepublican just might have saved the republic. Rats and cockroaches have a way of dispersing quickly when someone turns the lights on them.
For those who haven’t seen it yet, here’s her thread detailing the whole sordid plot.
Prof. Glenn Reynolds of Instapundit also wrote a detailed explanation of the scheme, along with commentary quotes from several sources. It’s well worth a read. You have to subscribe to his Substack, but it’s free, and you should do that anyway.
