In today’s newsletter, the Supreme Court has agreed to hear a consequential immigration case. We discuss the September jobs report, which showed unemployment edging up to 4.2%. Seattle Mayor Katie Wilson faces questions from fellow Democrats about her handling of public safety. And much more…

Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time: Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you. 1 Peter 5:6-7
How bad is Seattle’s socialist Mayor Katie Wilson at her job? So bad that even ultra-left “Squad” member, Rep. Pramila Jayapal, ** messaged concern to the Governor** about her competence in dealing with a recent triple shooting, writing, “I don’t think she knows what she is doing.”
Wow! Having Pramila Jayapal question your competence is like having AOC question your intelligence!
Actress Sydney Sweeney drew the expected OUTRAGE from feminists for her semi-nude ad for a sports betting site, but ** she’s laughing all the way to the bank**. It’s been reported that since her ad appeared, the valuation of that site has quadrupled from $500 million to $2 billion, and she’s an investor in it.
It’s just possible that the most impressive part of her anatomy might be her brain. Maybe these feminists should stop judging women’s intelligence by how they look.
Buckle Up For This One: The Supreme Court ** agreed Thursday to hear a case** that could be the most important of Trump’s second term and have a major effect on immigration law, one way or the other. The plaintiffs are arguing that illegal alien detainees can’t be held without bond while their deportation cases go through the courts. If the SCOTUS rules against them, it will streamline and hasten the deportation process. But if the SCOTUS sides with the plaintiffs, there will be a huge wave of bond hearings and people being bailed out who will likely disappear, throwing a giant monkey wrench into the deportation system.
Let’s hope that the Justices have the wisdom to rule intelligently and protect America’s sovereignty, even though we did that with birthright citizenship and it didn’t work.
The Labor Department reported that the economy added 29,000 jobs in September, ** far fewer than economists predicted**, and previous months’ numbers were revised downward. But the situation is more complicated than it seems.
Job growth was much stronger than it appears, with the private sector adding 46,000 jobs, but those were offset by government payrolls shrinking by 17,000, which is a good thing for taxpayers. In fact, Trump has cut the federal workforce to a 40-year low. Take a look at this chart that shows the number of federal workers dropping faster than Hunter Biden’s pants.
There’s also the factor of migrants leaving jobs that have yet to be filled with Americans. Likewise, unemployment ticked up from 4.1 to 4.2%, but that was due to more Americans entering the labor force, not from people losing jobs.
You can ** read more from the link at Breitbart**, or you could reread the first sentence of this story and know everything that most media outlets are going to say about it.
Don’t look now, Oregon is moving closer ** to having a Republican Governor**.
The Trump Administration ** has proposed a new IRS rule** that a checkbox be added to tax forms to confirm that filers are US citizens, US nationals or aliens authorized to work in the US. They say it could save taxpayers up to $2 billion a year by preventing illegal aliens from claiming refundable tax credits that they aren’t legally eligible for. Critics say it would block some migrants from accessing tax credits that they are eligible for and drag the IRS into immigration enforcement. Fox News has more details at the link, although there’s no explanation for why illegal aliens should ever be eligible for any tax credits.
Once again ** proving that nobody spends** other people’s money like a socialist, New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani announced plans to spend $607 million to renovate a housing project in Brooklyn. It has 1,148 apartments, which works out to $528,726 per apartment. It would be cheaper to give every resident half a million dollars and let them go buy a mansion in a red state. Heck, they’ll probably be moving to a red state soon, anyway.
Good Column: ** Derek Hunter on how the Democrats’ demand** of “Medicare For All” is not only unworkable, it’s a way to cover up the fact that they claim to have a fix for problems with the healthcare system that they caused themselves the last time they injected more government via Obamacare.
