In today’s newsletter we note that oil traffic through the Strait of Hormuz has reached its highest level since the fighting began. We highlight a 6–3 Supreme Court ruling allowing the Trump administration to continue deporting illegal immigrants. We examine the changing job market for young Americans and much more.

He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength.
Isaiah 40:29
Why do you think California’s gas prices are $2 more per gallon of gas than the national average?
Fact: This week, oil transports through the Strait of Hormuz hit their highest level since the fighting began, showing that Tehran’s control of that vital waterway is crumbling. And US gas prices, which at their recent highest were still much lower than under Biden when adjusted for inflation, have dropped by up to 20 cents a gallon in the past week, depending on your state.
In a big win for President Trump, on Tuesday, ** the Supreme Court ruled 6-3** to stay a lower court’s ruling and allow Trump to continue his policy of returning illegal alien deportees to third party counties if their native nations refuse to take them back. The ruling will hold until the SCOTUS hears arguments on the issue in December.
Opponents claim it’s cruel to deport people to nations where they may not know the culture or language, but Secretary of State Marco Rubio said that if the third party nation assures the US that deportees will not be persecuted or tortured, that’s good enough for the government.
We would point out two things: 1. These people left their own nations to voluntarily come illegally to the US, a place where they didn’t know the culture or the language. And 2. If their own nations refuse to take them back, when why are we under a moral obligation to keep them, just because they managed to get in illegally? If someone breaks into your house and moves into the guestroom, are you not allowed to kick them out?
Since Zohran Mandami became Mayor of New York, anti-Jewish hate crimes have risen by 8.5 percent. In July alone, there were 23, compared to 15 the previous July, a rise of 53.3 percent for that month. Jews are 10 percent of the population and the victims of more than half of all hate crimes. Meanwhile, Mamdani’s administration is rife with Israel haters, he refused to adopt a single official definition of anti-Semitism, and his biggest law-and-order concern seems to be figuring out a way to arrest Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu when he visits the UN (spoiler alert: he can’t.)
After being called out by name in Netanyahu’s UN speech, ** Mandami announced** a $7.4 million campaign called the “Strategy to Combat Anti-Semitism” that will “strengthen prevention, education, security and support for Jewish New Yorkers.”
A cheaper way to combat anti-Semitism would be to stop electing people who encourage it.
The media love to blame Trump for the struggles that young Americans are having in finding good-paying jobs. But their fingers should be pointing instead at overpriced, politicized colleges and universities. ** Issues & Insights reports** that, ironically, what might be holding them back are the very degrees that they were told they had to go into debt obtaining if they wanted to find jobs.
While it’s traditionally been true that college grads make more money, an analysis by Burning Glass Institute found that that may no longer hold. Unemployment among those aged 22-34 without a degree is at its lowest level in decades, thanks to high demand for skilled workers and a shortage of applicants. Many in these jobs are now earning six figures.
Meanwhile, college grads are having a hard time finding work, thanks to AI replacing entry-level white collar jobs. And employers believe that today’s college grads are unprepared for the workplace, having been indoctrinated with socialism, wokeism and a sense of entitlement but few actual job skills.
Ironically, even the snarky reply, “Learn to code” no longer applies. AI is now writing computer code. We should have told young people, “Learn to plumb.”
Just when we think the woke left is dying out because it crested peak insanity and there was no insane place left to go, they surprise us with their creativity. For instance, did you realize that white paint is racist? Columbia University Professor Wendy Walters ** actually won a National Book Award** (!) for a nutzoid screed called “Dead White: An Argument Against White Paint.”
It argues that white paint isn’t neutral, but that it carries connotations of purity and cleanliness that tie into exclusion and racism. It’s interesting to see a leftist being given an award by other leftists for implying that people who aren’t white also aren’t pure or clean. Reminds us of Joe Biden praising Obama’s electability because he was “the first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean…”
Thank goodness we have these people to teach us how not to be racist!
But not to be outdone, the BBC informed viewers (who are forced to pay for their slop with their taxes) that a new trend among women of bare nails with no polish is “white supremacy” because it rejects the elaborate nail decorations that many black women prefer. So if your nails are bare, you’re RACIST. Of course, many white women also paint their nails, and if they do that, they’re guilty of cultural appropriation and are RACIST.
Since you’re racist either way, what CAN you do with your nails? Well, you could scrape them on a blackboard and be less annoying than these people.
Of course, nobody does “crazy leftist” like Hollywood. Actress Camryn Manheim, best known for the 1990s series “The Practice,” went viral with an unhinged speech about how much she wished her son, actor Milo Manheim, was gay, and how hard she’d tried to turn him gay, but it didn’t work.
She ** finally got to the point of the speech**, which was to introduce actress Marcia Gay Harden. Noting that all three of Harden’s kids are non-heterosexual in some trendy way, Manheim exclaimed, “Oh my God, you are so f-----g lucky!” We suspect that luck had nothing to do with it, other than the bad luck of her kids in drawing their parents.
Harden was there to accept the “Ally for Equality” Award from the Human Rights Campaign. What did you expect it was for, “Mother of the Year”?
** Substack writer Don Surber points out** that high crime and Democrat policies in Chicago have cost the city over $3 BILLION dollars in investment.
Former Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist notes in his Substack “A Second Opinion” ** anxiety over climate change** is growing in young people.
A ** Michigan woman is questioning** why her parents received mail encouraging them to register to vote even after they had both passed away (her father died 22 years ago).
