In today’s newsletter, SpaceX reaches another historic milestone. In Washington, the Senate overwhelmingly passes Sen. Ted Cruz’s Protect College Sports Act in a rare 77-22 bipartisan vote. In Minnesota, another audit raises questions about millions of taxpayer dollars. We remember James Copenhaver, who has died after spending more than two years struggling with the wounds he suffered during the 2024 assassination attempt against President Trump. And in politics and media, we look at why Democratic candidates in competitive races aren’t lining up to campaign alongside Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.

Monday, SpaceX r** eached a new historic milestone**, launching its massive unmanned rocket Starship into orbit, then returning it for a safe splash-down. The rocket lost an engine, forcing the mission to be cut shorter than planned, but it was otherwise successful. There are more details at the link, along with a video of the launch.
We also appreciate all the people who gathered up old articles and social media posts from leftists, mocking Elon Musk for thinking he would ever be able to build a rocket that would take off into space. Why, it’s as ridiculous as thinking Donald Trump could ever become President!
It’s Wednesday, then it must be time for ** another report about rampant fraud** and waste of millions of dollars of taxpayer money under Tim Walz in Minnesota.
Before you vote for anyone nominated by the Democratic Party, remember: They thought Kamala Harris should be President and Tim Walz should be one accident away from the presidency.
In a rare bipartisan vote, the Senate ** passed Ted Cruz’s Protect College Sports Act 77-22**, with 20 Democrats and two Republicans opposing. It faces a steeper hill in the House. You can read more at the link about the details of the bill, which involves regulation to deal with treatment of student athletes in a time when college sports have become a lucrative industry.
Unfortunately, the bill doesn’t address the commonsense effort to protect women’s sports by not letting men compete in them. For some reason, that wouldn’t attract bipartisan support.
Last week, the family of James Copenhaver of Coraopolis, Pennsylvania, confirmed that ** he had died in his mid-70s** after two years of painful struggles from the wounds he suffered in the attempted assassination of President Trump in Butler in 2024.
He was described as a veteran, a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, and Trump called him “a true American patriot.” Trump wrote on Truth Social, “After being wounded while protecting his family, Jim showed tremendous bravery, courageously continuing to FIGHT, FIGHT, FIGHT, and maintaining a positive spirit despite unimaginable hardships. His indelible legacy of love and devotion will forever endure. Our hearts and prayers are with the Copenhaver family, especially his incredible wife Marianne.”
Our deepest condolences and prayers go out to Mr. Copenhaver’s family. We also pray that his death, along with the death on that day of fellow rally attendee Corey Comperatore, who was killed shielding his family from the shooter’s bullets, and David Dutch, who was injured but survived, will serve as a tragic reminder to the Secret Service of the importance of their mission; to everyone who traffics in violent political rhetoric of the consequences of their irresponsible words; and to anyone who suggests that the shooting was a hoax of just what shameful idiots they truly are.
The lone holdout juror who refused to acquit Lindsay Clancy for murdering her three young children ** finally spoke out** after being identified, doxxed and threatened by her fanatic supporters and targeted with demands for legal reprisals by her sleazebag lawyer.
From an undisclosed location where he’s hiding out for his own safety (a shameful situation that should be a five-alarm warning for anyone even thinking of supporting a leftist in the midterm elections), the juror with a conscience said, “I know the whole focus has been on me, but we want to reel everything back and put the focus on the three angels, the ones that can’t speak for themselves, the ones that can’t defend themselves, and the ones that can’t fight the battles — and those are Cora, Dawson and Callan,” Clancy’s children.
He added, “I want to thank God for my Catholic faith. I want to thank God for blessing me with the ability to love my daughter. And foremost, I would like to thank everyone, every individual, that has supported me throughout this difficult situation.”
Meanwhile, the juror’s own attorney, Edwald Paltzik, blasted claims that his client ever had reasonable doubt about Clancy’s guilt. He said he had “zero doubt” and “a mountain of evidence” to back it up. He called his client an American hero and blasted Clancy’s lawyer for slandering him, ginning up threats, and trying to weaponize the justice system against him for doing his duty as a juror. He also slammed a local media claim of domestic violence accusations against his client, saying that every single allegation “is false, fabricated, never happened, categorically false. It just didn’t happen.”
Fox News ** has a page for real time updates**, which already includes the news that the DA has asked for a gag order on everyone involved to stop this dangerous and downright un-American war on the jury system.
It’s estimated that about 1 in 5 adult Americans, or at most 23%, suffer from a mental illness each year. So under ordinary circumstances, there’s no way that Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez could ever be elected President.
But these are not ordinary times, so we must take even the most unlikely of horrible conjectures seriously. That includes the idea that somehow, the Presidency could fall into the hands of AOC, a babbling, brain-dead social media sensation who speaks like a socialist Valley Girl and has never passed a single piece of legislation, and thank God for that. Yet, she seems to believe that she has a shot at the White House in 2028 and is dropping hints that she may run, like a goat dropping droppings.
Matt Margolis at PJ Media ** has some bad news for AOC** and some good news for America’s future and its mental health: her polling is atrocious.
While AOC might be popular in deep-blue areas that would elect Jack the Ripper if he had a (D) after his name, anyplace where a race is remotely competitive, Democrat candidates are fleeing from campaigning with her. Even those who used her endorsement to win in the all-Democrat-voter primaries are shunning her now that they have to win a real election. They’re welcoming support from her potential 2028 rivals, even Kamala “Word Salad” Harris, but not AOC. As one senior Democrat strategist told Axios, “She’s a lightning rod.”
Too bad all “Democratic” socialists don’t find their true calling by working as lightning rods.
Once again, ABC’s “The View” is ** under fire for acting not as a “news” program** but a Democrat propaganda outlet. Co-host Ana Navarro urged viewers in Florida to “go vote” for Democrat Elliot Rodriguez so we can “actually knock this woman out” (GOP incumbent Rep. Maria Elvira Salazar.) Many viewers complained to the FCC that it was illegal electioneering and an in-kind contribution to Rodriguez’s campaign, which re-posted the video online.
However, the X AI factchecker Grok responded, “No, this is not illegal. Commercial broadcasters like ABC may air host commentary and opinions that endorse or urge votes for candidates. FCC equal opportunities rules apply only to candidate appearances on air, not host statements. News, commentary and editorials are exempt from FEC electioneering communication rules…”
If the only situation in which “The View” would be forced by law to be fair is if they had to invite a Republican guest, then that’s never likely to happen. We don’t know why anyone would torture their brain by watching that show, but if you do, just remember: the hosts are not unbiased, just unbalanced.
