Tuesday night, New York Gov. Kathy Hochul and her Republican challenger, Nassau County Executive Bruce Blakeman, held a fiery debate – and by “fiery,” we mean that it demonstrated how badly Hochul deserves to be fired.
As you can see from the linked excerpts, Hochel blamed ICE for the shooting of an illegal alien violent criminal who was trying to run over them with his vehicle. Blakeman blamed it on Hochul for imposing “sanctuary” policies that attract illegal aliens, including violent criminals; giving them free benefits; and blocking local officials from cooperating with ICE, which prevents safe handovers to federal agents and forces the feds to arrest detainees in the streets.
Hochul also attacked Trump for high gas prices that are hurting the economy. Blakeman said she’s obsessed with Trump when it’s her own policies that make prices high, noting that New York utility rates are 70% higher than the national average (Note: Trump is President of all those other states, too. Also, adjusted for inflation, gas is still cheaper than at its peak under Biden.)
RELATED: We mentioned this yesterday, but since Trump took office in 2025, New York has refused to turn over about 16,000 illegal aliens to ICE, and they are linked to over 52,000 crimes, including homicide and sexual assault.
