The story about the Alaska Senate race’s “Decoy Dan” just keeps getting dirtier. But thanks to the Babylon Bee, ** it also gets funnier**.
As you know, The New York Times (of all news outlets! – and many of their readers are ticked at them for committing actual journalism) broke the story last week confirming what has long been suspected, that Democrat leadership had engineered a plot to include another “Dan Sullivan” on the ballot for U.S. Senator from Alaska, to dilute votes that might have gone for the GOP incumbent. But it gets worse: as reported by Catherine Herridge, Alaska Gov. Mike Dunleavy told FOX News that Dan. J. Sullivan even tried to register to be on the ballot with the false middle initial “S,” apparently to make his presence there even more confusing than it already is. We’re not sure yet how that process played out, but obviously he was not successful in getting that done.
On Friday, U.S. Attorney Michael J. Heyman, Alaska’s top prosecutor, told reporters, “This new information has resulted in a significant surge of law enforcement assets in Alaska, and I have assigned several attorneys in my office to assist in the matter as well.”
