I have a slightly uncomfortable suggestion. Find the Claude prompt you’re most proud of. The one you spent ages improving, with all those clever instructions you picked up along the way. Keep it open for a moment. There’s a good chance the part you worked hardest on is the part you need least now.
Here’s why this is so interesting.
Anthropic recently removed more than 80% of Claude Code’s system prompt for its newer models. And guess what? Its coding tests showed no measurable drop in performance.
That is a huge change. Even the people building Claude found that many of their carefully written instructions were no longer needed.
Now we have Opus 5.5, which is faster, better at handling long tasks, and more capable of working through problems on its own.
Yet we’re still using prompts designed for older models. We’re telling Claude how to think, when to think, what steps to follow, and how many times to check its own work.
I think it’s time we changed that.
Inside the full guide, I will teach you how to get much more out of the newest Claude models with simpler prompts, better instructions, and a few useful settings. We’ll also look at how to make Claude handle bigger jobs, remember your preferences, and work with less back-and-forth.
