In today’s newsletter, Israeli officials say passengers and crew aboard a Flydubai flight from Dubai to Tel Aviv helped thwart an apparent attempt by the co-pilot to crash the aircraft. We take a closer look at President Trump’s newly signed Greenland security agreement, which significantly expands America’s ability to defend the strategically vital Arctic island and keep China and other adversaries from gaining a foothold there. Iran’s Revolutionary Guard has taken the unusual step of addressing American voters directly. Finally, the United States completes its withdrawal from Erbil Air Base, formally ending America’s mission in Iraq after a 12-year campaign against ISIS.

Trump delivers on Greenland: Historian Mike Coté disagrees with President Trump’s approach to securing an agreement with Denmark, but he says ** the signed deal is significantly better** than the 1951 agreement and serves as a firm check against China in the North Atlantic:
“China has successfully pressured nations far stronger and more populous than Denmark and Greenland, it has used investment in strategic sectors to gain inordinate influence and forward CCP ends, and it often camouflages nefarious intent behind ostensibly neutral activity. This deal presumes to exclude outside influence, requiring active agreement between all parties that the proposal in question does not “constitute a threat to national security or public order.” This is tantamount to a total exclusion of nations like China from any meaningful role in Greenland in perpetuity. Ensuring that Washington has this permanent veto over any Chinese involvement in Greenland is an enormous win for American homeland defense.”
The National Interest also has a new piece titled “** How the Greenland deal secures the Arctic**.”
Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps issued a 25-page letter to American voters, claiming that President Trump is lying about the US economy being strong, prices coming down soon, and Iran’s nuclear program. They claimed the US economy is “on the brink of collapse” and blamed it on Trump and US support for Israel, and urged Americans to vote against Trump and the Republicans in the upcoming elections.
We can’t imagine a better campaign ad for Trump and the Republicans. Maybe the IRGC just senses the end is near, so they’re auditioning for jobs at CNN, MS NOW and the New York Times.
FYI: Trump has done such a good job of destroying Iran’s economy that their unit of currency, the rial, is now going for over 2.5 million to one US dollar.
As for Iran’s claims about gas prices staying high, this week, oil transports through the Strait of Hormuz hit their highest level since the fighting began, showing that Tehran’s control of that vital waterway is crumbling. And US gas prices, which at their recent highest were still much lower than under Biden when adjusted for inflation, have dropped by up to 20 cents a gallon in the past week, depending on your state.
The US is officially removing its remaining military assets and personnel from Erbil Air Base in Iraq, finally ending Operation Inherent Resolve, the mission that began in 2003 to oust Saddam Hussein and turned into an effort to help Iraq defeat ISIS militants and to balance Iran’s influence and militias.
This pull-out was set up under President Biden, which explains its bad timing. At the time it was negotiated, nobody expected how the security environment might change. But Trump is abiding by the deal, and finishing the withdrawal without any violence or chaos, which is yet another welcome change from the Biden years.
Iranian security forces have stepped up their presence in major urban centers with motorcycle patrols, checkpoints and other measures, as the Iranian people have once again started taking to the streets to protest political oppression, mandatory hijab rules and other measures, not to mention the disastrous economy created by Trump due to Tehran’s refusal to negotiate a peace deal.
While this is a very welcome sign, we remember all too well the mass slaughter of unarmed protesters by the Iranian regime, and we hope you will join us in praying for the safety of the brave people of Iran who are putting their lives at risk to stand up to the monsters in charge of their government. Let’s also pray that this brutal regime soon joins other dictatorships in the dustbin of history.
Israel ** has confirmed** that the reported bloody brawl on board Flydubai Flight FZ1073 from Dubai to Tel Aviv on Wednesday was a thwarted hijacking and attempted jihadist suicide attack.
The plane carrying 174 passengers dropped 14,000 feet in 30 seconds after the co-pilot tried to knife the pilot and crash the plane. Only after it landed safely was it reported that the heroic flight crew and passengers joined together to stop the attacker; and by a miracle, there were passengers on board who were qualified to take over for the injured pilot and land the plane.
Please join us in giving thanks to God and the highest praise to the flight crew and passengers. We will have more on this story later.
