In a speech made below the Acropolis in Athens, Greece, the birthplace of Western civilization, Secretary of State Marco Rubio launched an impassioned defense of Western values that are under siege by communists and open borders globalists. He said that this assault has led to nations ashamed of their achievements, nationalism made a “dirty word,” open borders, outsourced industry, weakened militaries, and sovereignty increasingly surrendered to global bureaucracies.
** As Breitbart News reports**, Rubio traced how, “Over time, we in the West came to feel ashamed of the very things that made us exceptional. We felt embarrassed that our achievements set us apart from the rest of the world. Our prosperity somehow became a source of guilt.” The results were the rejection of the West’s own national identity and inheritance: nationalism became “a dirty word,” monuments came down, Western history was condemned, and children were taught to be ashamed of the nations they would inherit...”We opened our borders and outsourced our industry, and allowed our militaries to wither and to decay.”
He said we are now at a crossroads where “the course we take will determine whether the West maintains its place at the head of the world or resigns itself to a future of atrophy and servitude and decline. We will either choose to act now or lose the choice to act at all.” And “Under President Trump, the United States has made its choice. We choose the unapologetic pursuit of national power: to take back control of our critical supply chains, to reindustrialize our economy, to rebuild our defense, to fight for dominance of the technologies and industries of the future.”
There’s much more, and it should be read and seen in its entirety, especially by the so-called “leaders” of other Western nations, who have been rolling out the welcome mat for their own conquerors for years. The rejection of Western values by the West and unfettered Third World immigration is why France is currently on fire and why so many “migrants” (who will never move on and leave) have entered the UK over the past four years that ** they now outnumber the Welsh**.
Wednesday, the FBI announced the arrest of an 18-year-old ISIS supporter who was allegedly planning a mass shooting later this month at the Mall of America. They believe he wanted to kill as many as 60 people. ** He was arrested while trying to obtain an AK-47-style rifle from an undercover FBI agent**.
The suspect was described initially as an American-born, Minnesota high school student. But after his name was released (Sheikhdoon Abdullahi Mohamud), it was reported that he was a birthright citizenship child of Somali immigrants.
** Here’s a reminder** that this is hardly the first time Minneapolis has blessed us with ISIS-loving jihadists.
