Right now you are reading these words, perhaps on a phone held in your hand, and you know that you are reading them. That knowing has been present through every experience you have ever had, through every thought and feeling and every change in your life, and it is the only part of your experience that knows it is there.
Understand, but more importantly feel, your self as the luminous, empty, space-like presence of awareness within which all experience arises, with which all experience is known and of which all experience is made. Notice that you are that, and simply be that knowingly.
See that only awareness is aware. Only consciousness is conscious. A thought is not aware. A thought cannot read these words. It cannot perceive anything or feel anything. A thought is known. It does not know. It is something you are aware of.
The body is not aware. The body is not reading these words or perceiving the world. A body is a flow of sensations and perceptions that you, awareness, are aware of. The body does not know it is a body. It does not have the experience of being. No object is aware. No object can experience anything.
