Apple trains its own AI model for China market with Alibaba's support, sources say
Apple has trained a large language model specifically for the China market, three people familiar with the matter said, a departure from the iPhone maker’s strategy of relying on third-party models to power AI features in the country. The AI model was developed in partnership with Alibaba Group and trained with the Chinese tech giant’s support, the people said, declining to be named as the information is sensitive and not public. Apple’s training of its own China-specific model has not been reported before.

Farage's by-election victory won't stop questions about finances
Nigel Farage did not turn up to savour his victory in the by-election he triggered himself. Overnight he told a rally of Reform UK supporters he had been advised there was an "organised campaign to disrupt and degrade the result" and wanted to avoid being "demeaned and humiliated by nobodies". When the official result did come in hours later, it confirmed the Reform UK leader had indeed won this by-election convincingly with 22,239 votes, but without any serious opposition after the other main parties did not put up candidate.
