Note: I’m going to be very concise in this article to only highlight what really matters. The Debasement Trade is back in play with US government losing control over their debt issues, as clearly evident through rising long-term bond yields. Gold is one of the major assets for the Debasement Trade. But there’s one more asset that also falls under the same category of Trades and is clearly showing signs of strength that should not be overlooked. That asset is Bitcoin.
A financial option is a rather complex instrument. Unlike delta-one products, an option value depends not only on the underlying, but also on volatility, time to maturity, strike, interest rate, and dividends. Options have been used as hedging instruments, but they’re becoming a speculative vehicle these days thanks to a growing number of retail traders and the increasing popularity of financial media. Even though options are derivatives, and thus trading them would require a different thinking, retail traders often apply delta-one trading techniques to options trading.

Considerable financial market hubbub resulted. Before reviewing Warsh’s speech, it will helpful to consider the nature of fiat currency systems operated in all of the world’s major economies. The Federal Reserve’s US dollar is defined as a unit of debt.

At Hot Chips 2026, Samsung Memory Business presented “HBM Base Die: How HBM Will Evolve Using Advanced Logic Processes,” outlining a structural shift in the evolution of High Bandwidth Memory. Rather than focusing solely on how many DRAM layers can be stacked or how much per-pin bandwidth can be delivered, Samsung argued that the next major battleground for HBM will be the Base Die — and, more specifically, how much system functionality can be integrated into it. This represents a fundamental architectural transition.
