Many of you have asked how you can share a story of Father Christmas that won’t be a lie so I am sharing a way of talking about different people holding different beliefs. What I say in the script might not be a good fit for you, it’s just an idea. You can adapt and use the words you feel comfortable with. What if believing in Father Christmas was simply a choice? So I want to help you reset in a way that feels true to you. If your feed is full of “motivational” quotes and quick-fix promises, you’re not alone. Every January, the pressure to reinvent ourselves ramps up and most of these messages are unrealistic and downright irritating. The phrase “New Year, New Me” doesn’t look like it’s got the memo of staying in 2025 and it’s everywhere again.

The first day of school where I live is fast approaching. My youngest is 19 and even she has some feelings about going back to college next week. No matter how old our kids get, they can still feel worried about the first day of school! If your child is starting school for the first time, starting in a new school or with a new teacher, or even just heading back after summer break, they might be feeling a bit worried right now. Here are some ideas to make the transition easier (for both of you!) Listen to their fears and empathize. Ask them what their concerns are and really listen.
