Sunday Scroll #159
Hello and happy Sunday! It was an incredibly busy week here with a lot of wins! Reached a lot of different goals on the work front. Bryan had a big win at work. Brady played in his first HS golf tournament and the twins got… phones! I said I wasn’t going to do it in sixth grade, but they’ve been so responsible and have really done a great job acclimating to middle school (plus with three kids going in three different directions I just needed to be able to reach them). I surprised them and their joy was a core memory for me! Without further ado… enjoy the scroll.

These 60 Embarrassing Things Are Actually So Damn Clever
We all have those embarrassing moments, but luckily, there are some clever products out there to help tackle them. For instance, a hair identifier spray can make dermaplaning at home much easier by highlighting fine hairs, plus it protects your skin during the process. If you struggle with foot hygiene, a silicone shower mat can give your feet a nice scrub while you stand on it, making it feel like a mini massage.
For bunions, toe separators can provide relief and are comfortable enough to wear with most shoes. And if mold is an issue, a mineral-based stain remover gel can lift those pesky spots in just minutes. To keep your bathroom tidy, a discreet toilet brush that hangs on the tank rim is a smart choice.
If you’re dealing with breakouts, hydrocolloid pimple patches can speed up healing while soothing redness. Body powder can help manage sweat in sensitive areas, while absorbent sponges can keep you feeling fresh during intimate moments. For on-the-go freshness, flushable wipes are compact and gentle on the skin.
For nail care, specialized ingrown nail clippers make trimming tough nails easier. And if your glasses keep slipping, silicone ear grips can help keep them in place. Lastly, an odor-eliminating gel can neutralize smells in small spaces, while antifungal liquid can tackle toenail fungus effectively. These products can really make a difference in your daily routine!
Live with vegetarian chef, cookbook author and mother of two, Amy Chaplin
Hey, I just watched this interview with Amy Chaplin, the vegetarian chef who’s turned her cookbooks into a staple in our kitchen. She grew up in rural NSW, worked in Europe, and now lives in upstate New York with her partner and two boys. The conversation feels like catching up with an old friend—she talks about motherhood, cooking for picky kids, and the joy of simple seasonal meals. She isn’t selling a diet; she’s sharing real, everyday recipes that anyone can tweak. If you’re looking for fresh, whole‑food ideas, Amy’s books
Last week, a mom faced a tough situation when her daughter fell down the stairs and injured her nose. After a visit to urgent care, the doctor initially downplayed the injury but later recommended going to a children's hospital ER for further evaluation. While waiting for treatment, the mom felt stressed and second-guessed her decisions, especially when the resident asked her daughter for her opinion on getting a CT scan. This prompted the mom to realize she hadn't involved her daughter enough in the decision-making process.
Despite her feelings of guilt, she practiced self-compassion, recognizing that parenting is challenging and mistakes happen. The ER visit turned into a long night, but ultimately, her daughter was diagnosed with a broken nose that’s healing well. The mom reflected on the importance of acknowledging mistakes and staying present for her child, emphasizing that kids don’t need perfect parents, just ones who care and are willing to learn from their experiences.
