UK Bitcoin Treasury Firm Smarter Web Closes £10M Share Offering
Smarter Web has raised £10 million, or about $13.2 million, in its IPO, starting to trade on the London Stock Exchange under the ticker MORE. That’s a bit shy of their target, with CEO Andrew Webley noting institutional interest was disappointing. The firm pulled in £2.4 million from institutional investors and £7.6 million from retail, which is around 75% of the total.
Despite the shortfall, they cleared the £10 million minimum needed to proceed. Webley highlighted this listing as a significant milestone, claiming it’s the first preferred share from a Bitcoin treasury company on a major market outside the US. They plan to pay a weekly dividend starting at 12% annually, with the first payment due by November 9.
The company’s strategy includes using the proceeds for working capital, acquiring more Bitcoin, and covering operational costs. Smarter Web, which has grown since its public debut in 2025, now holds 2,747 BTC, valued at around $229 million.

BitMine’s Weekly ETH Buys Shrink to 12,532 as Tom Lee Says Stacking Is Done
BitMine said on Monday it bought 12,532 Ethereum in the week to October 11, its third small weekly purchase in a row, taking the treasury to 6,028,946 ETH, or 4.9% of the 122.1 million ETH in supply. The purchase followed the 15,112 ETH BitMine added in the week to October 4, and the company bought 17,362 ETH the week before that. The company marked its ETH at $2,544 per token, using Coinbase prices. At those levels, its crypto, cash, and equity stakes total $16.2 billion. Cash and marketable securities came to $612 million, down from $643 million a week earlier.
South Korea moves to block 27 crypto websites, including KuCoin, MEXC
South Korea is blocking access to 27 crypto websites, including KuCoin and MEXC, targeting unregistered exchanges. This decision comes from the Financial Intelligence Unit after reviews by the Korea Media and Communications Standards Commission. The authorities are tightening their grip under the anti-money laundering Act, which requires exchanges to register.
The block extends to platforms that haven't complied, and it follows previous actions against unregistered mobile apps on both Apple and Google. While this aims to curb illegal operations, the FIU acknowledges that users might face challenges withdrawing their assets. They’re promising support through the Digital Asset eXchange Alliance for those affected.

Bulls Absorb 89% of $774 Million Crypto Liquidations as Leverage Unwinds
$774 million in crypto liquidations hit the market, with bulls absorbing 89% of those losses, totaling about $688 million. This wave was largely driven by macroeconomic pressures and a steep selloff in Asian stocks. Bitcoin dipped 2.67% to $81,594, while Ethereum fell 4.46% to $2,429.16.
Long positions were particularly hard hit, with 172,662 traders liquidated—88.9% of which were long bets. Ethereum led the pack with $169 million in liquidations, followed closely by Bitcoin at $160 million. The largest single liquidation was a $9.65 million BTCUSDT long on Binance.
The backdrop of escalating Middle East tensions and inflation concerns is weighing heavily on investor sentiment. With the US CPI report due Wednesday, eyes will be on whether inflation ticks up, which could intensify selling pressure, or if it softens, potentially giving bulls a chance to regroup.

When Will Bitcoin Price Reclaim Its All-Time High? Cycle Data Gives a Date
Bitcoin price currently trades 35% below its record peak of $126,000. When will BTC again reclaim its all-time high? Based on market cycle patterns, popular analyst Root suggests it could be by June 2027. Here’s how the analyst comes up with this timeline. Root, who writes the Bitcoin Strategy newsletter, compared the current recovery with three previous cycles. Historically, Bitcoin needed around 2 years from the bottom to enter a phase of setting new highs. However, the last cycle broke that pattern. The spot ETF approval pushed BTC to fresh highs far earlier.
