Now Accepting Bitcoin: Gyros, Cocas, and 219 Arizona Bitcoin Merchants
In 2025 the state government passed a Strategic Arizona Bitcoin Reserve, but I understand the state still hasn’t bought any coins. We can’t wait for the government to use bitcoin before we use it, or it will never happen. The question is, can a normal person walk into a shop and pay with bitcoin? I have some friends in Scottsdale who have never used bitcoin in real life, so I asked them to test it. I recommended downloading a lightning wallet, sent them some satoshis, and sent them the BTC Map.

Bitcoin rally could revive treasury buying, but easy-money days over
“A return to last year’s indiscriminate capital raising looks unlikely,” said Bitfinex head of derivatives Jag Kooner. Corporate Bitcoin purchases could accelerate toward the end of 2026 and into 2027 if the cryptocurrency rallies, but investors are likely to be more selective about which treasury companies they finance, according to analysts. Speaking to Cointelegraph, Bitwise head of research Ryan Rasmussen said there was a broad slowdown in Bitcoin treasury buying in Q3.
Bitcoin Volatility Hits 2.5-Year Low as Traders Brace for 30% Move
Bitcoin's trading has been surprisingly stable, hovering around $82,538, up nearly 1% in the last day. But here's the kicker: its Bollinger Bands are at their tightest in over two years, just $5,368 apart. This kind of compression usually hints at a significant price swing ahead, though it’s anyone’s guess which way it’ll go.
Looking back, when Bitcoin faced similar tight trading patterns, it swung wildly — like a 30% drop after a squeeze in May, or a 35% jump three months later. Now, with the $80,000 mark acting as a crucial support level, traders are watching closely. If Bitcoin can close above $85,000 with solid volume, it might push toward $87,000 or even $89,358. But if it slips below $80,000, we could see it testing lower support levels around $79,000 or even $73,000.
So, keep an eye on that volume. It’s going to be key in confirming any breakout. For listeners who want low-fee crypto exposure, our markets partner Kraken supports Bitcoin — link in show notes.
