Briton Palmowski wins F1 Academy title
Alisha Palmowski has won the F1 Academy title, and she’s feeling over the moon about it. The 20-year-old Brit finished second in a reverse grid race at the Circuit of the Americas, which clinched her championship ahead of the final race in Las Vegas. This makes her the youngest champion in the series' history and only the second British driver to take the title.
Driving for Campos Racing and part of the Red Bull driver academy, Palmowski has had an impressive season, winning five of the 11 races and only missing the points once. In a heartfelt moment after the race, she dedicated her win to her ill grandmother, expressing gratitude for her family's sacrifices throughout her racing journey.
Austrian Emma Felbermayr had a slim chance to challenge Palmowski but fell short, finishing fourth. Denmark's Alba Larsen celebrated her first F1 Academy victory, while France's Lisa Billard rounded out the podium in third. It’s been a remarkable season for Palmowski, and her story is just beginning.

Marc Márquez missed a key opportunity to extend his championship lead over Jorge Martin, who is currently sidelined with an injury. Despite a sell-out crowd eager to watch the race, persistent rain and poor visibility forced organizers to make the tough decision to cancel not just the MotoGP, but also the Moto3 and Moto2 events. Next year, the Australian MotoGP will move to a street circuit in Melbourne, signaling a significant change for fans and racers alike.
Brewers battle back for a 5-4 win over the Rays in Game 2
The Milwaukee Brewers showcased their resilience in Game 2, overcoming an early 4-0 deficit to secure a 5-4 victory over the Tampa Bay Rays. The Rays struck first, capitalizing on a throwing error by shortstop Cooper Pratt, which allowed Yandy Diaz to reach second. They built their lead with a series of hits, including a two-run homer from Liam Hicks. Despite the shaky start, the Brewers didn’t back down. They answered with a run in the second and continued to chip away, tying the game with a surprising home run from Sal Frelick.
In the seventh, Pratt redeemed himself with a clutch single that brought home the go-ahead run. Aaron Ashby, who has been stellar in the postseason, closed out the game despite a late rally from the Rays. He struck out key hitters and ended the game with a controversial check swing call on Diaz. The Brewers’ bullpen was impressive, holding the Rays scoreless for the final six innings. With this win, Milwaukee takes a 2-0 series lead as they head to Tampa Bay for the next games.

The Browns have extended defensive tackle Maliek Collins for two more years, locking him in with a $30 million deal that includes $23 million guaranteed. This comes after just six games into his contract year. Collins, who originally signed a two-year, $20 million deal with Cleveland in 2025, was set to hit free agency in March.

His experience spans multiple teams, including the Cowboys, Raiders, Texans, and 49ers. With 154 career appearances and 147 starts, he’s proven to be a reliable player.
