During the race, he crossed the line in P13, but post-race penalties for Oscar Piastri, Pierre Gasly, and Franco Colapinto bumped him up to P10. That’s a solid start for Hirakawa, earning him a point right out of the gate.
Now, all eyes are on Brazil for the São Paulo Grand Prix next weekend. It’ll be interesting to see if he gets another chance to race.
How Antonelli 'blew everyone away' to make Formula 1 history
Just after Kimi Antonelli clinched his first title to become the youngest world champion in Formula 1 history, Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen were united in their assessment of his achievement. "Incredible," they both said. Coming from the two most successful champions on the current grid, the men who are first and third in the all-time list of F1 record-holders, it meant something. That Antonelli shared the Mexico City Grand Prix podium with these two titans meant something, too.

Sunday Night Football: Commanders roll to 27-10 victory over Eagles
The Commanders have gotten back in the win column. While Philadelphia took a 10-0 lead in the first quarter, it was all Washington from then on, with the club coming away with a 27-10 victory on Sunday night. With Tanner McKee starting his third game in place of Jalen Hurts, Washington’s defense thoroughly outplayed Philadelphia’s offense throughout the night. The Commanders were able to generate pressure on McKee, sacking him four times. Washington ended the night with nine official QB hits.
Chiefs, Steelers, Commanders have interest in Brian Thomas Jr.
Contenders usually aren't sellers at the trade deadline. But the Jaguars have a receiver who, for whatever reason, hasn't really clicked with the coaching staff that arrived in 2025. As a result, 2024 first-rounder Brian Thomas Jr. has interest in a fresh start. And multiple teams are believed to be interested in acquiring him. Currently, the Chiefs, Steelers, and Commanders have interest. The Steelers, we're told, have greater interest in Colts receiver Josh Downs. Downs, however, is Kansas City's Plan B, if they can't get Thomas away from the Jaguars.

Sunday Night Football: After going down 10-0, Commanders lead Eagles 13-10 at halftime
The Commanders got down 10-0, but have scored 13 straight points and have a 13-10 lead at halftime. However, there could be an injury concern with Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels. Daniels took a hard hit from Nolan Smith late in the first half on an incomplete pass and took a bit to get up. Though Marcus Mariota spoke with Daniels on the sideline, the young quarterback stayed in before throwing an incomplete pass on third-and-1 to bring up Drew Stevens’ 39-yard field goal with 19 seconds left on the clock.
Frustrated Justin Jefferson didn't speak to reporters after Sunday's loss
When a team is winning, it's hard for any offensive players who aren't getting the ball as often as they should to be upset. When winning becomes losing, the frustrations can quickly surface. That happened for the Vikings on Sunday against the Lions. Receiver Justin Jefferson, who made a spectacular touchdown catch in the first half, didn't see the ball as often as he should have during proverbial nut-cutting time.
