Derrick Henry moves to seventh on the NFL's all-time rushing list
Entering the game with 632 yards this season, Henry has been a powerhouse over the last four years, averaging 1,578 yards annually. To catch Emmitt Smith’s record of 18,355 yards, he’ll likely need to play another three to four seasons. Smith, who was 35 in his final year, believes Henry has a real shot at breaking that record. With Henry turning 33 in January, it’ll be interesting to see how this unfolds.
Joe Milton on his first start: The NFL is about being ready when your number is called
Joe Milton has never started an NFL game. The closest he came was in Week 18 of the 2024 season when Patriots starter Drake Maye played only three snaps before giving way to Milton, who played the final 61 snaps. Milton looked like a starting NFL quarterback in that game, completing 22 of 29 passes for 241 yards and a touchdown. Less than two years later, Milton is on his third team and has played only 51 snaps in four appearances with Dallas since. He will make his first career start on Sunday when the Eagles play the Giants.
George Kittle is skeptical that Brandon Aiyuk will "get in" the team facility
Brandon Aiyuk is trying to make a return to the NFL, but there’s some doubt about whether he’ll actually show up at the 49ers’ facility. His new agent, Drew Rosenhaus, claims Aiyuk will report on Friday, but tight end George Kittle isn’t so sure. When asked if he thinks Aiyuk will make it in, Kittle played coy, saying he’d rather not comment and jokingly referred to himself as a “conspiracy guy.”
The situation is definitely awkward. Aiyuk seems to want to trigger his release by finally reporting, despite previously indicating he had no intention of doing so. The 49ers are treading carefully, waiting for Aiyuk to meet certain conditions before they have to make a decision.
It’s hard to see Aiyuk being welcomed back onto the roster. He’s clearly looking for freedom, and now he’s taking steps to make that happen after a long standoff. The odds of him returning to the team seem really low, especially since he likely doesn’t want to be part of it anymore.
Thursday Night Football: Jaguars blow out Ravens 33-10
The Jaguars dominated the Ravens last night, winning 33-10 and improving their record to 6-2. Baltimore, now on a four-game losing streak, struggled without their starting quarterback Lamar Jackson and backup Tyler Huntley. They leaned heavily on their running game but couldn't keep pace. Despite 34 rushing attempts, they only managed three first downs in the second half.
Jacksonville outgained Baltimore 319 to 227 and capitalized on three turnovers. Rookie quarterback Joe Fagnano had a tough outing, completing just 10 of 18 passes for 60 yards and two interceptions. Justice Hill provided a glimmer of hope with a 65-yard touchdown run late in the game, but it was too little, too late.
Trevor Lawrence was efficient, going 16 of 26 for 242 yards and a touchdown. Jakobi Meyers and rookie tight end Nate Boerkircher made big contributions, while Bhayshul Tuten added a rushing touchdown. The Jaguars have now won eight games by 20 points or more since last season, showcasing their strength as they continue to push for a strong playoff position.
Ravens safety Kyle Hamilton was injured in the second quarter and briefly returned after halftime. His night, though, is finished. The Ravens ruled out Hamilton with a hip injury. He has three tackles, including a tackle for loss, and a pass defensed. The Jaguars lead 23-3 in the fourth quarter after Cam Little's second-half field goals of 45 and 47 yards. The Ravens had 25 yards and no first downs in the third quarter and have only 126 yards and seven first downs for the game.
BBL veteran Chris Lynn serves secret drugs ban after allegedly testing positive for cocaine
Hey! So, you know Chris Lynn, the big hitter from the Big Bash? He actually got hit with a one-month ban for a positive drug test. It happened back in July, after he played in England's T20 Blast finals. The kicker is, he already served the whole month, and this is just coming out now, two months later. Wild, right? This news dropped just a few days after he was reportedly looking at a move to the Melbourne Renegades for the upcoming season. Crazy timing on all of this.

Thursday Night Football: Jaguars lead Ravens 17-3 at halftime
The Ravens were hanging . . . until they weren't. Baltimore was within one score with less than 2 minutes to play in the first half. But Parker Washington beat Malaki Starks, and after a bobble of Trevor Lawrence's pass, secured the catch and raced 50 yards for a touchdown with 58 seconds left in the half. The Jaguars lead the Ravens 17-3 at halftime. The Ravens started undrafted rookie Joe Fagnano with Lamar Jackson and Tyler Huntley on injured reserve. They opened the game with Derrick Henry in the wildcat and called seven plays out of the formation.
