Take a second to read Haley “I see Israel in my dreams” Stevens’ quote in the image above during her CNN appearance. This is what the Democratic Establishment darling decides to say a week before a historic midterm election that might send the first Muslim American to the Senate.
She literally had one job: go all in for the Democratic candidate. Vote Blue No Matter Who, right? Yeah, except those pesky, annoying progressives who call out Israel’s genocide and refuse to take corporate PAC money.
This is the candidate that Democratic donors and leaders decided to back against El-Sayed in the primary, even accepting over $60 million from outside, right-wing money.
Meanwhile, the “abundance” propagandist and preferred pundit of the Democratic Establishment, Matt Yglesias, is echoing the sentiment of Democratic Senator Brian Schatz that Democrats shouldn’t fight for popular policies because they are doomed to fail. He also believes you shouldn’t advocate for issues if they aren’t polling well, such as, you know, abolishing ICE, which is terrorizing and killing Americans.
Even if Democrats win in a blue wave next week, the majority is still going to be at war with a corporate duopoly that is playing for all the marbles. Instead of embracing popular policies, they will double down for their donors. We have to be ready and engaged to take them head-on
