“Democrat-aligned firms have been paid more than $7 million by AIPAC's super PAC and its ally DMFI since 2021.”
That’s the scoop from SLUDGE, co-founded by investigative journalist David Moore, who joins The Left Hook for the first time to discuss the unethical and problematic financial and ideological affiliations of highly paid Democratic consultants who are actively attacking fellow Democrats.
AIPAC, the pro-Israel lobbying organization, is funded by pro-Trump, right-wing billionaires who want to maintain the disastrous foreign policy that continues funding an occupation and genocide. It has spent a record amount to crush progressive Democrats and Republican Thomas Massie, who reflect the will of the majority and want a major reset in our relationship. Recently, AIPAC spent more than $30 million to take out El-Sayed in the Democratic primary.
They failed.
Nonetheless, they persist. Some of their donors are funding Democrats for Mike Rogers (yes, it’s a thing). They also support the centrist lobbying group Third Way, which openly bragged about spending $15 million against progressives. Unfortunately, Democratic leaders have no problem accepting money from these donors who are actively campaigning against Democrats in the upcoming primary.
Specifically, these Democratic consultants will make a boatload of money regardless of who wins or loses the election. However, they refuse to go on the record to explain or defend their actions.
Thankfully, David Moore and Sludge are on the case.
