An NBC poll came out recently that was chockfull of good news for Democrats.
They led Republicans on the generic ballot question 50%-45%. Donald Trump’s approval rating was at 41%. Fifty five percent of voters said that Trump’s policies had made the economy worse.
And yet, as I dug deeper into the poll, I found two sets of numbers that seemed — at first — to be entirely incongruous with the other findings. They centered on how voters perceive the two parties.
Here they are:
Republican Party
Positive view: 36%
Negative view: 49%
Democratic Party
Positive view: 29%
Negative view: 50%
So, even in what is shaping up to be a disastrous political year for President Trump and his party, the Democratic brand is in even WORSE shape than the Republican one?
Huh? What gives?!?!?
Let me explain.
