In today’s newsletter, President Trump takes his case directly to the world at the United Nations. Trump recounted the damage already inflicted on Iran’s military and reiterated that Tehran will never be allowed to obtain a nuclear weapon. Back home, DHS has released video and a detailed response challenging allegations surrounding the controversial ICE shooting of a Venezuelan migrant in Austin. The battle between the White House and major media organizations over access to presidential press briefings continued yesterday. And finally, the FBI says an international crackdown on overseas scam operations has prevented Americans from losing hundreds of millions of dollars.

The DHS has now responded to accusations of rogue behavior in the shooting of a Venezuelan illegal alien in Austin that sparked protests (some that seem to be orchestrated by socialist and communist groups.) Once again, it appears that the leftist narrative is at variance with reality.
The ** DHS released video footage** to refute claims that they had indiscriminately side-swiped the detainee’s Doordash vehicle, leading him to believe he was fleeing an aggressive driver. They say it was a targeted arrest of an illegal alien who entered the US under Biden. He had a work permit that he shouldn’t have had, and it was expired. He also had a final removal order from a judge. The video footage shows that their sirens and flashing lights were on when he was fleeing them, which he had denied. The agency reminded Americans that fleeing federal officers is a felony and could endanger officers, so suspects take on the risk when they do it.
They also denied his lawyer’s claims that he was denied medicine (they said ICE has no power to do that, and he’s getting the best treatment at taxpayer expense), and they refuted a claim that he had to sleep on the floor at the detention facility, saying he slept in a bed.
Here’s the DHS’s full list of bullet points refuting what they say are false claims about the arrest and shooting ** put together by Fox News reporter Bill Melugin**, along with a statement by DHS Secretary MarkWayne Mullin:
Per DHS:
“CLAIM: ICE refused to remove the bullet from the illegal alien’s body.
FACT: This is false. ICE does not and would not advise, nor be the authority on, a medical procedure for an illegal alien at a hospital.
CLAIM: The illegal alien had a valid work permit.
FACT: This is false. The illegal alien’s work permit expired in 2025. Furthermore, a work permit does NOT grant legal status.
CLAIM: The illegal alien was ordered removed in absentia.
FACT: Yes. This is why aliens must show up to their removal proceedings. Legal obligations do not end because someone’s address changed.
CLAIM: This illegal alien is here legally.
FACT: This is false. This person is in the U.S. illegally. He entered illegally under the Biden Administration. The illegal alien had no valid work permit, had no protective status, and had a final order of removal from a Department of Justice (DOJ) Immigration Judge.
CLAIM: This illegal alien has received no pain medication.
FACT: This is false. This illegal alien is receiving medical care around the clock, including pain medication.
CLAIM: The illegal alien has been forced to sleep on the floor.
FACT: This is false. This alien was released from the hospital and arrived at the detention facility just a few hours later, where he slept on a bed. Aliens in ICE custody receive a higher standard of living than most prisons that hold U.S. citizens.
CLAIM: This illegal alien was indiscriminately targeted by ICE.
FACT: This is false. This illegal alien was the subject of a targeted vehicle stop. What makes someone a target for immigration enforcement is whether or not they are illegally in the U.S.
President Trump’s speech Tuesday to the UN General Assembly was notable both for what it was and what it wasn’t. As Fox News’ Greg Gutfeld pointed out, it wasn’t the typical UN speech about “process” – announcing yet another government initiative or commission to talk about a problem. Instead, it was a speech about Trump’s actual, concrete accomplishments and his firm intentions about what comes next -- in some cases, or else.

This is ** a good article** on some of the top takeaways from it.
He began with a long list of American accomplishments since he resumed office (historically large tax cuts, record income levels, zero illegal immigration, record high stock markets, etc.), initially making his UN speech seem more like a State of the Union Address. But then, he moved on to foreign policy.
He praised the other world leaders but said they all have a limited time to make the world better and “we have to take advantage of it. As President of the most extraordinary nation in history, I have no interest in leaving dangers to grow for another day. I do not believe in letting problems fester. They only become harder to solve. So while others have talked, I have acted.”
He cited Iran as the #1 example of a problem left to fester: “For fifty one years, the fanatical Iranian regime has ruled by bloodshed and mass murder, spreading death and carnage and chaos across the entire Middle East and beyond. They were the bully of the Middle East, but they are the bully no more. From the first day I entered the political arena, I’ve been unwavering. I will never allow Iran to have a nuclear weapon.” Somewhat surprisingly, this got a round of applause from the UN delegates, although we assume Iran’s President didn’t join in.
Trump said he offered Iran full economic cooperation if they would end their nuclear program, but “they absolutely refused. That was a big mistake.” He explained the necessity of immediate action by saying that Iran was building a “vast missile and drone stockpile” that threatened the entire region, was on a “mad dash” to develop nuclear weapons, and was proud of having missiles that could reach Europe and be armed with nuclear warheads. He said, “If they had succeeded, that wicked regime would have been free to spread terror and death forever, knowing that any attempt to stop them would face an arsenal of nuclear annihilation.”
He also mentioned Iran’s support of the 9/11 and October 7th attacks and their mass slaughter of peaceful protesters (imagine anyone being sick enough to condone that, other than a Democratic socialist podcaster), and said too many previous Presidents and politicians were “unwilling to do anything about it.” He wasn’t, and now Iran’s navy, radar, air force, anti-aircraft equipment and economy are all gone; their missile and drone manufacturing capacity is almost gone; and the only thing that’s not gone is their 300% inflation. Yet the regime keeps attacking instead of agreeing to make peace.
In the kind of blunt talk that’s seldom heard in such an environment, Trump said Iran had a choice to sign a deal and become a great nation, or he had to make some choices: “Or do I annihilate the Islamic Republic and do it quickly, never giving them a chance to kill and destroy people and countries again? Do I drive them into h*ll with no chance of survival and no hope of future greatness or generations? But I believe we’ll make a deal right after the election, because it doesn’t make sense for them not to.” He said Iran is waiting to see how he does in the midterm elections, but they don’t realize that “I am not running.” Clearly, that has a double meaning. He let Iran know that, unlike some political leaders who live and die by the polls, he’s not running from them, either.
Trump also addressed the arrest of Nicolas Maduro and the deal with Venezuela to greatly increase this hemisphere’s oil production; the Russia-Ukraine war; the AI race with China; his war on the drug cartels, whom he compared to ISIS; the Gaza peace talks; the International Criminal Court, which he called “out of control” and an “evil group of people” who have no jurisdiction over the US; UN reform (he called the Human Rights Council “craven hypocrites” who criticize the US for protecting children from “transgender” mutilation while ignoring the genocide of Christians worldwide; and Cuba, which he called an “absolutely failed state.” Its offended representatives walked out, never thanking capitalism for allowing them to have lights on so they could find the door.
We’d also like to highlight a section of Trump’s speech that isn’t getting as much comment, but it’s something especially important for the UN delegates from Europe to hear, especially from those nations that are jailing their own people, including opposition political leaders, for protesting the takeover of their homelands by violent Third World migrants. Trump said:
“It is deeply ironic that the United Nations has an entire institution, the UNESCO [United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization] group of people and countries, devoted to protecting cultural heritage. Yet, with their ceaseless promotion of mass migration, these globalists are actively destroying the greatest cultures and most extraordinary heritage in all of history...** There is no human right to illegal immigration**, but there is a right to remain a sovereign nation, and we want to remain a sovereign nation, and so should you.”
President Trump banned three “fake news” outlets (CNN, MS NOW and Politico) from White House press briefings, and Democrats and media figures are treating this as an authoritarian attack on free speech and the First Amendment. It’s promoted a number of commenters on social media to dig up old clips in which they demanded and celebrated the cutoff of Fox News under Obama (Ironically, Fox joined in a boycott to protest CNN’s ouster, while CNN had previously celebrated Fox being cut off.)
One of the most outrageously hypocritical comments came from former President Barack Obama, who told an audience to just imagine the reactions if he had cut off Fox News. No need: he did do that, as well as his Administration accessing reporters’ phone recorders to uncover their sources and generally treating conservative news outlets as enemies of the state. As noted here, Obama cracked down on so many reporters, he went after both James Risen and James Rosen.
And here’s Sen. Chuck Schumer in 2023, insisting that he and Hakeem Jeffries had a right to demand that Fox News owner Rupert Murdoch order its reporters to stop spreading “falsehoods.”
That’s hardly surprising. Former White House press secretary ** Karoline Leavitt revealed** that some of the reporters used to privately apologize to her for asking unfair questions. She said they told her their bosses demanded it, we assume to give their TDS-afflicted viewers what they want. Leavitt told Sean Hannity, “There’s a performative aspect to the briefing room.”
So it appears that all the outrage over liberal media outlets being banned from the White House for reporting fake news is itself fake news. What a surprise.
Those along the East Coast from New England to the Carolinas are ** being warned of a powerful nor’easter storm** that could bring high winds, heavy rain, dangerous storm surges and coastal flooding. If you’re in the storm’s path, please take precautions and keep a close eye on local weather bulletins, and be sure to protect your outdoor animals, too.
Authorities are also tracking Pacific Hurricane Polo, which has ** rapidly intensified into a very strong storm**. It’s expected to move parallel to Mexico’s coastline, but it’s uncertain which way it will trend. It could head out to sea or hit California. Keep a close watch on that one, too.
FBI Director Kash Patel announced that the agency’s Operation Blackout has so far seized $15 billion in assets and cryptocurrency from overseas scammers targeting Americans. He said they’ve also shut down 500 fake investment sites, arrested hundreds of people, freed thousands of trafficked workers, and warned more than 10,000 Americans before they sent money to scammers, saving them over $500 million.
This is what the FBI is capable of when it isn’t spending all its time trying to prosecute Trump voters and Catholic parents for being terrorist threats.
Want further proof that Trump Derangement Syndrome is a real brain-wasting disease? The Center for Strategic Politics ** polled Democrats on what they would support** if it meant forcing Trump out of office. There was virtually no scenario, from impeachment to military coup to dying in his sleep, that a majority of them didn’t approve of. The only one that didn’t have majority support was assassination, but that was still okay with 32% of Democrats.
We hope that this lights a fire under Republicans to turn out and vote, because rage and insanity are powerful motivators to get people to the polls, and the donkey party has an oversupply of both.
