After graduating from the University of Pennsylvania with a B.A. in English, Jean did equity research for Dean Witter and then moved into financial journalism -- first with Working Woman , then Forbes , then Smart Money (as Senior Editor), then Money Magazine as well as Finance Editor and Reporter for NBC's The Today Show, and now AARP's Personal Financial Ambassador.
