There’s a new poll from Emerson College out today that has Democrat Adam Hamilton at 45% to 43% for GOP Sen. Roger Marshall.
It’s the latest in a series of polls that suggest this is a single-digit race.
And know how you know Republicans are worried? Vice President JD Vance was in Topeka on Monday! The White House doesn’t send the VP to a state — with less than 50 days before the election — unless they feel like they need to shore things up.
I would still — probably — rather be Marshall than Hamilton, however, because Kansas is a Republican state where a Democrat hasn’t won a Senate seat since 1932(!).
But there’s no question that Marshall is a weak candidate and Hamilton, the pastor of the largest church in the state, is a different sort of Democrat.
