Somewhere inside the AI videos you’ve watched, the articles you’ve saved, and the books you’ve read, there is probably an idea worth a lot more than you think.
The frustrating part is that you may never find it again. One brilliant trick gets lost in a two-hour interview. An important detail is buried in a technical guide. A useful example disappears into a GitHub project.
Google has built something that makes all of this knowledge much easier to use.
With NotebookLM, you can bring those materials together, ask questions about them, find connections you may have missed, and check exactly where an answer came from.
I think this could become one of the most useful AI tools for anyone trying to learn something valuable, build a product, or turn their knowledge into a business.
And you can start using it for free.
There is something bigger happening here
Google reported that NotebookLM had already reached 30 million users and more than 600,000 organizations in July 2026.
It has also changed quite a bit.
NotebookLM is now called Gemini Notebook. It can use more powerful AI, search for information, run deeper research, create presentations, and even write and run code on supported plans.
But one ability stands out to me.
Imagine learning a new AI tool. You have its official documentation, a long video tutorial, a GitHub project, and several practical examples.
You can put everything into one notebook and ask:
“What can I actually build with this tool, what do I need, which parts are difficult, and what should I try first?”
Notebook reads across those materials and shows you the evidence behind its answer.
You can then use that knowledge to build an application, prepare a paid workshop, develop a service, or simply get much better at your work.
That is where I see the real business value.
And the setup is surprisingly simple.
