Prince Harry and Meghan expect to be “let back in” to the Royal Family, according to a deeply sourced new report by Alison Boshoff in the Daily Mail, which lays out what the couple are actually trying to achieve with their return to Britain.
“Look, they expect to be let back in. Harry expects they [the Royal Family] need him,” one source tells Boshoff bluntly. “He and Meghan have nothing else going for them. They’ve burned every bridge in America.”
The report comes at the end of a week in which the palace, via the Lord Chamberlain’s letter, reminded the world that the Sussexes’ position is “akin to private citizens with commercial and charitable interests,” and the couple hit back through friendly outlets, insisting they prefer the term “public figures.” A Sussex source tells Boshoff the duke “is understood to have taken particular issue with the notion that the couple were to be treated as private citizens. If that were the case, it was claimed, such formal guidance would not be required.”
