Mike Madrid has been following the polls for thirty years with an emphasis on Latino voting trends. He has never seen these types of numbers in his political career. Trump is now at 29% approval, and that’s not even the floor. With less than two months to go to the elections, his numbers could plummet due to the failed Iran war, infalation, and rising gas prices.
It’s so bad that some Republicans like Byron Donalds are now removing references to Trump from their website and breaking with him on AI Data Centers and the war on Iran. But, it isn’t working. The voters have caught on. Republicans are about to get shellacked in the midterms, losing both the House and the Senate.
As this is happening, Democrats could run up the numbers but they are choosing the politics of civility and restoration. Hakeem Jeffries just cancelled a private fundraiser hosted by a former Democrat now stumping for Mike Rogers at a pro-Trump firm, because of course. That cancellation came as a result of a Bulwark article that revevaled the fundraiser. Democrats are also taking money from AI, AIPAC, and Crypto and continue spending all their time punching to the left and courting billionaires.
What do you think will happen if they attain power? Will anything change? Mike and I agree they are misreading people’s rage and will squander all goodwill resulting in the emergence of a right-wing populist movement that could gain fascist control by 2032.
