Since then, we’ve heard about the Silicon Valley obsession with immortality by merging with machines, and they want us to pay for the surveillance centers necessary to fuel their forever-after. Peter Thiel gave a series of lectures on the anti-christ, and his trademarked creation (Thielbilly Elegy) backed up his End Times ponderings. Sarah Kendzior re-ran a piece on the Zionist obsession with their version of the End Times, because she has been warning about this for more than a decade. (GO HERE to read it.) White Christian Nationalists of all stripes point to every fresh calamity and gleefully cheer their own destruction if it means their Bibles come true.
Billionaires have built their apocalypse bunkers while they co-opt information and wage psychological war on the brainwashed masses who worship them. They blast themselves into space and sell the lie that any ordinary American can go there too, if they only work hard enough and keep voting for billionaire parasites to steal everything from them. They are fixated on building habitable worlds on the moon and Mars so that ~~they can rape and pillage those environments for profit~~ they have a place to flee when their greed and avarice destroys life and our planetary home.
The far-right Roberts Court has already given much of Project 2025’s environmental policy positions the force of law. In gutting the Chevron doctrine, they destroyed the expert civil service’s ability to interpret laws and enforce federal rules and regulations. Six unelected justices effectively gutted the Environmental Protection Agency’s ability to force companies to care about their impact on communities. If corporations make a mess, nobody can force them to 1. stop polluting; 2. pay victims who suffer; or 3. clean it up.
If you care whether you, your children, and your grandchildren will have a habitable planet.
If you want to have drinkable water and edible food.
If you are concerned about protecting plant and animal life from extinction.
If you’re already tired of extreme weather events and wildfires.
If you don’t want to live through another pandemic.
If you believe it is our moral responsibility to care for the earth for the benefit of the future.
Voting for Republicans, especially Christian Nationalists who await Jesus’ triumphant return to earth during the End Times, is pronouncing a death sentence on this planet’s habitability. Life will find a way. It always does. But it probably won’t be your descendants’ lives. It may not even be your life or my life.
