The world’s richest man and prolific poster of white nationalist conspiracies, Elon Musk, has been tasked by the U.S. government to shape the future of war. He’ll be joined by Newt Gingrich, who fancies himself a futurist, and Palmer Luckey, the pro-Trump defense contractor whose company, Anduril, is using robots and AI to create deadly weapons. Luckey’s company just happened to land a nearly $3 billion Navy submarine shipyard contract after he joined the Project Meridian task force.
Just a coincidence. Nothing to see here. There’s no conflict of interest. I mean, it’s not like Musk has made a part of his fortune through SpaceX, which is subsidized by our taxpayer dollars, or spent money to help elect Donald Trump. It’s not as if these technofascists joined Trump in his visit to China or dined with President Xi when he recently visited the White House. These same bros who dominated Silicon Valley are also buying up media. Musk has Twitter, Zuckerberg has Facebook, Bezos has Amazon, and now the Ellisons, who made their money through Oracle, own Paramount, Warner Brothers, TikTok, CNN, and CBS News.
Listen, a lot can go wrong here, but we have to break a few eggs to make an omelet. There will be short-term losers, and that totally sucks (for them), but think about the long-term gain, which can’t really be defined, but trust, it’ll be great - except for white-collar workers, democracy, and freedom of speech. At the end of the day, these bros, such as Alex Karp of Palantir, are using their technology to protect Western Civilization, help Israel, and keep the barbarians at the gate.
