Even in rough weather, even if you’re having a bad day, try to get outside for at least five minutes.
Daylight + fresh air + movement = lower cortisol levels. Cortisol is your primary stress hormone.
Lower cortisol levels = less anxiety and depression, and improved digestion.
Spending time outdoors also supports your circadian rhythm, which impacts both digestion and sleep.
Just one daily short walk will help stress and gut motility.
Your mom was right. Go play outside!
