This is one of the most confusing (and infuriating) labels out there on foods and drinks.
“Sugar-free” does NOT mean unsweetened.
It means that instead of real sugar, artificial sweeteners have been added.
And virtually all artificial sweeteners are terrible for your gut.
They can even cause problems in people who don’t have IBS.
Imagine what they can do to you.
If you want something that has no sugar OR artificial sweeteners added, the magic word on the label to look for is “unsweetened.”
