In a sane world, Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson announcing a reelection bid would be greeted as a hilarious joke, but in our world, where Democrats are never held accountable for their failures, it’s serious news. Famous mostly for out-of-control shootings and a 23% approval rating, Johnson is trying to change his image by ** releasing a rooftop video** where he shows off his dance moves to “Hideaway” by Kiesza. Or maybe he’s just dodging bullets. Either way, the clip did not receive a warm reception.
On the other hand, Johnson’s dancing looks pretty good compared to his other new pursuit: joining New York City’s socialist Mayor in suing the Trump Administration ** to stop them from booting illegal aliens off of welfare benefits**.
Johnson called illegal aliens “an essential part of who we are.” Note that in the linked story, he lauds them using the left’s favorite incorrect euphemism, “immigrants.” This is an example of how the left can only win arguments by changing the terms. An “immigrant” is someone who follows immigration laws. An “illegal alien” is an alien who is here illegally. It’s not rocket surgery.
According to WLS-TV, Johnson’s refusal to differentiate between those two groups has cost Chicago taxpayers over $639.6 million spent on illegals since he came into office three years ago. Anyone who plans to vote to reelect him might as well follow up dropping their ballot in the box with dropping their wallet in the garbage.
