Hey everyone,
After almost a week in the South African bush with hardly any online access, I’ve come back to civilisation…or so I thought.
First news item greeting me was Trump continuing his insane project to take control of Greenland by naming Louisiana governor Jeff Landry special envoy to make Greenland part of the US. It made me realise the Kruger is way more civilised after all!
Anyhow, let me repeat some of the points I’ve raised on numerous occasions since Trump launched his insane Greenland project exactly one year ago:

Trump needs to be taken dead seriously on this one.

The justification about “US and international security” is a red herring right out of the Kremlin playbook! As has been the case since WW2, US doesn’t need to own Greenland to secure the area.

The project is about access to natural resources and Trump’s ambition to expand US territory as stated in his inaugural speech.

US subversive activities against the Kingdom of Denmark have already started.
US is only formally an ally of Denmark. In reality it’s a threat. US is in blatant violation of the North Atlantic Treaty it authored itself after WW2!
All of the above is evidence based!
Is Greenland lost then? Not at all. Trump’s hand isn’t as strong as he likes everyone to believe. Denmark needs to tighten control and stress US subversive activities. Close the US consulate in Nuuk for starters. Make life difficult for personel involved. PNG any proven agents involved just as we would do to Russians. Weakness will only embolden Trump.
Along with REAL allies in Europe we need to strengthen the military posture around Greenland and force Trump into large scale military planning. It’s likely to generate outrage in the US when it’s leaked. And it will get leaked that’s for sure.
I’ll leave you with the most brilliant sighting we’ve ever had on safari in the Kruger or elsewhere. It’s courtesy of my wife. She spotted this gorgeous leopard well hidden in the tree. After about 20 minutes it started a parade right in front of us🙏🏻
