In today’s newsletter, the UN General Assembly continues to produce some unusually blunt moments. The Trump Administration’s economic campaign against Iran is increasingly isolating the regime. The U.S.-backed Board of Peace has unveiled an ambitious six-month, $2.45 billion proposal to begin rebuilding Gaza. Back home, Sunny Hostin made an extraordinary claim about her role as a juror in the infamous “Butcher of Tompkins Square Park” case. We also look at the facts behind several highly publicized claims of racist violence, new controversy over reporting on violence against transgender Americans, and some of the serious criminals recently arrested by ICE. Finally, Kamala Harris shares why she lost the race for President…

Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know. Jeremiah 33:3
Another UN moment worth noting: Slovenian Prime Minister Janez Janša ** accused the UN of applying double standards**, like obsessing over Gaza while giving short shrift to other global humanitarian crises like Russia’s war on Ukraine. (Well, there’s no way to blame the Jews for that.) He also revealed that President Trump has promised to visit Slovenia, which is First Lady Melania Trump’s homeland.
Oman, Azerbaijan and Iraq are the latest Middle Eastern nations to take action to ban or limit the activity of Iranian airlines to comply with U.S. sanctions against Iranian air carriers. Some pundits called it one of Trump’s greatest trolls that all the restrictions on Iranian airlines took effect just moments after Iran’s President landed in New York City. He may find that it’s like the Hotel California: You can check in anytime you like, but you can never leave.
The U.S.-backed Board of Peace unveiled a $2.45 billion, six-month plan to begin rebuilding Gaza. It involves 66 projects focused on infrastructure, education, health and governance. We predict that the Gazans will request the money in cash instead so they can use it to buy weapons to kill Jews.
We normally don’t bother reporting outrageously stupid things that are said on “The View” because that happens all the time and is hardly news. But yesterday brought some comments from the always-inane Sunny Hostin that stunned even her co-hosts.
While criticizing the hold-out juror in the Lindsay Clancy case, Hoskin claimed that she had been the holdout juror in the case of “The Butcher of Tompkins Square Park.” Except in that case, she blocked the jury from returning a “guilty” verdict. Daniel Rakowitz of New York’s East Village was accused in 1989 of (WARNING: what comes next may make you sick) slaughtering his young female roommate Monika Beerle, dismembering her, boiling her head for soup, eating her brain, and feeding her to some homeless people.
But Hostin claimed that she knew he was having a psychotic episode and didn’t mean to kill her. She believes so strongly in the insanity defense that she refused to vote guilty, leaving him to be found not guilty by reason of mental disease.
Spencer Pratt posted on X, “I told you this Clancy insanity didn’t start with TikTok. It goes back well into the 90s when Sunny Hostin was nullifying verdicts for cannibals.”
BUT WAIT, THERE’S MORE: ** John Nolte at Breitbart.com looked up** the original news coverage and found that while Hostin was on the jury, she wasn’t the lone holdout. That was some “unemployed guy who deliberately milked the deliberations to take advantage of the $15 a day jurors received.”
Hostin was quoted by the media back then as saying he thought he’d “committed the perfect crime” by dismembering and eating the body. That alone should negate the insanity defense because it shows that he was aware that he was doing something illegal.
So to recap: A “View” co-host proudly declared on national TV that she was the reason a murderous cannibal who ate his victim was found not guilty. This takes being “soft on crime” to an entirely new low. But she actually didn’t do that; someone else did. She was just so eager to take credit for doing it that she was willing to lie about it. Yikes.
Whoever hired Sunny Hostin for her “View” co-hosting gig should also plead insanity.
It’s been said many times, but not often enough, that for an allegedly “racist” nation, the supply of racism in America seems wholly inadequate for the needs of the demagogues who make their livings off of stoking racial division. The supply of prejudice is so scanty that leftist groups like the SPLC have to manufacture their own. That’s why so many of these stories, after an initial flurry of “OUTRAGE,” turn out to be hoaxes.
Recent cases in point: the media echoed claims by leftist politicians like Ayanna Pressley and AOC that there have been 10 hangings of black people in the US so far this year. ** These outlets piped down once it was reported** that all but one were suicides, and the suspects in the homicide case are two black men.
Meanwhile, a grand jury in Mississippi issued 134 subpoenas and heard from 43 witnesses before ruling unanimously that there was no evidence of foul play in the death of Nolan Wells, a black teenage college student who spent July 4th with some white friends on the Mississippi coast. ** His death was consistent with accidental drowning**, and some bruises on the back of his neck were not severe enough to be fatal. Accusations of racist murder against his white friends were based on nothing other than that they were white, and there was a photo of them all together, smiling and hugging each other.
This didn’t stop Nolan’s family, as well as Al Sharpton and other race hustlers, from angrily condemning the grand jury findings as a whitewash of racist violence, with zero evidence. They demanded “justice.” What would that look like? An impartial grand jury composed of men and women of multiple races, including five black jurors? Because that’s exactly what this was.
Some trans activists are denouncing the Boston Globe for running an article about a research study that showed there is no “trans genocide.” Trans people are murdered in lower percentages than the general public, the numbers are actually dropping, and the vast majority of murders of trans people involve their partners. The activists are denouncing that as an “opinion.” No, those are facts. They’re crime statistics. As the late Democrat Senator Patrick Moynahan famously said, “Everyone is entitled to his own opinion, but not to his own facts.”
Today, he would be canceled and driven out of the Democrat Party for using the pronoun “he.”
Since Democrats are gearing up more anti-ICE protests in advance of the election, it seems like a good time to look at the actual records of some of those fine, upstanding “members of our immigrant community” that ICE is recklessly arresting. ICE released the latest list of detainees, ** which you can see at the link**. They include such model noncitizens as a Mexican national with prior convictions for assault, robbery and murder, and another who was arrested in New Jersey after previously being convicted of “possessing, viewing, or controlling 1,000 to 100,000 items of child sexual abuse material.”
Under Biden, the US had even worse vetting procedures for allowing people into the US than the Democrats have now for primary election candidates.
A group of conservative stockholders in the New York Times ** is suing the paper** to force them to turn over internal documents revealing the process they use to decide how to frame, write and publish so much one-sided, biased fake news, particularly about the Israel-Hamas war. A whistleblower cited in the lawsuit said, “The public deserves a better picture of how the Times manufactures the news when Jews or Israel are involved.”
What sparked attention to the lawsuit was an article about the anniversary of the barbaric October 7th attack by Hamas that included this jaw-dropping line:
“But Israelis still largely view themselves as the victims of Oct. 7.”
How selfish of them. What about all the poor Hamas terrorists who suffered blisters and finger cramps while torturing, raping and murdering over a thousand innocent men, women and children? Perhaps the UN can put up a billion dollars for a fund to provide them with First Aid kits for their next horrific slaughter.
Laugh of the Day! It’s only September, but we may have already found the absolute stupidest story of 2026. It involves a Massachusetts lesbian bar which, hurting for patrons, announced that for just one night a week, they would make wearing masks to prevent COVID (in 2026!) optional. It unleashed a firestorm of angry Internet responses accusing them of “killing disabled people” and saying they hope “your venue gets firebombed.” Trust us, that only scratches the surface of the crazy. ** Ben Bartee at PJ Media has more**.
For fans of hilariously over-the-top woke madness, only one thing could make this story better: a musical soundtrack to read it by. So here’s a live performance by one of our favorites, Jonathan Richman, singing, “I Was Dancing In The Lesbian Bar.” We assume that he will be canceled because dancing can make you breathe heavily and exhaling KILLS DISABLED PEOPLE!!
No sane American should need another reason to vote Republican in November, but the ** polls suggest we’re short of sane Americans**, so here’s yet another reason.
Another View: Law professor** Jonathan Turley argues** that the judge who ordered President Trump to reinstate CNN, MS NOW and Politico to White House press briefings had no choice under standing precedent, and the only way Trump can do that is to get the courts to overturn the precedent, which isn’t likely.
Fake News Friday! President Trump ** denounced as a malicious hoax** an Internet-spread claim that he wants to add his name to Ford’s Theatre, where Abraham Lincoln was assassinated. Although it might be appropriate, considering that Lincoln was also a Republican President who was shot in the head by a radical Democrat.

Finally, Kamala Harris ** seems to be convinced** that she lost the presidential race in 2024
