If Democrats would put as much time and energy into fighting fraud as they do in fighting people who are trying to uncover said fraud, maybe blue states wouldn’t be such hotbeds of fraud.
First, California passed the (unofficially-named) “Stop Nick Shirley Law,” to block reporters who attempt to expose fraud. Now, Hennepin County, Minnesota, County Attorney Mary Moriarty has ** filed felony charges** against undercover reporters James O’Keefe and Cam Higby over their method of exposing how easy it is to cast fraudulent votes in Minneapolis. The Soros-backed prosecutor accuses them of unlawful voting and identity theft.
What actually happened: The two went to a polling place in disguise (Higby as a Muslim woman in a full burka with his face completely covered.) They gave the names of registered voters, claiming to be them (but of course, no ID was necessary) and asked poll workers questions about the state law that allows any registered voter to “vouch” for up to eight people that they are eligible to vote, too. They didn’t vote, signed nothing, and never even touched a ballot. They just asked questions to establish on hidden camera how absurdly easy it would be for the most suspicious people to help ineligible voters get ballots.
As a reminder: Minneapolis has become a sewer of fraud, but the Democrat politicians who allowed that are still in office, not under arrest. Many of the con artists bilking taxpayers out of billions of dollars are still on the loose, with officials protecting the Somali crooks from federal arrest because “racism.” Moriarty is notorious for finding reasons not to charge repeat criminals and for letting them back onto the streets.
But she held a press conference to announce that she had protected “the heart of our democracy,” polling places, from reporters exposing how easy it is to commit voter fraud that truly undermines “our democracy.” After the press conference, she turned off comments on her social media pages. We can understand why, as good taste and propriety also restrict us from commenting any further.
Video of the Day! If you’re numb from all the vicious political attack ads, then watch this ad from Tad Jude, the Republican candidate for Minnesota Secretary of State. It might be the most uplifting campaign ad since Reagan’s “Morning in America.”
