Please join us in sending our deepest condolences and prayers to the families of the victims of a tragic school shooting Thursday at Silver Rail Elementary School in Bend, Oregon. A 16-year-old shooter killed a teacher and three students, ages 5, 8 and 11. Two other children were wounded and are hospitalized in critical condition at this writing. Please remember them in your prayers, too.

The tragedy might have been even worse if not for the heroic actions of an armed member of the community who saw the shooter enter the school with a long gun, followed him, and shot him dead within a minute of his rampage starting. It’s the classic case of something that the left repeatedly claims doesn’t exist: A good guy with a gun stopping a criminal. Although it’s not known at this writing whether it was a guy or a woman.

Now, let’s pray that Oregon’s Democrat officials don’t prosecute the armed hero who prevented more deaths for violating their many anti-gun laws that did nothing to stop the person who was bent on committing mass murder.
